A medida de voy conociendo ORD van surgiendo dudas e interrogantes de como hacer esto o aquello, idefectiblemente como somos autodidactas recurrrimos a toda información posible para absolver nuestras dudas, lo más logico debería ser encontrar respuestas en en este apartado, Bentley Comunities, aqui debería haber una repuesta clara y concreta para cada problema, por mas minúsculo o tonto podria parecer, sin embargo la mayoría de los casos, sino es en todos, las respuestas no solucionan ningun problema, se limitan a enviarnos a Blentley Learning o al Wiki general de la comuinidad que indefectiblemente acaba en el Learning. Esto sucede tanto en la comunidad en ingles o espeñal, finalmente, los expertos que dan las repuestas o no saben del tema o no tienen tiempo, pero nunca responden una pregunta concretamente.

Como usuario registrado y con licensia pido mayor interes a los "expertos" y respondan concretamente a lo que se les consulta

How compute a volume of excavation from tunnel

My question have two points.

1. What is the method that ORD uses to determine the amount of excavation in a tunnel?

I tried several methods, but dont works. The next picture show the problem

2. The template was generate with a circles (tunnel template) but the cross section show segments, how modify that?

Curve overlap adjustments in create/edit superelevation rules file

I have developed my own formulas to calculate the superelevation rate and transitions according to the regulations of my country using an xml file (Create / Edit superelevation rules files) successfully; but when I apply the formulas for Curve Overlap Adjustments an error occurs, the formulas give the correct results, the points are located in the indicated places, but in the final result two points appear that I do not calculate, first: with normal crown value in full curve (where the superelevation is full) and the other almost imperceptible in the reverse crown of curve 1

I attach an image and the calculation result file.

What can be caused this?

Superelevation: Sintax in Rules File - Transition Length

I have been writing equations for transition length but all attempts was report a bad results. Tired to work and study what happen I decided check the globlal variables. Doing the equation:

Equation: TransitionLength

Name: TransitionLength

Equation: InitialCrossSlope*100*-1

If the normal cross slope is -2.5%, (Is the value in the cration of lanes) the result shoud be 2,5, but the result is 3,4, What happen?

Superelevation: Sintax in Rules File

I am doing my own rules (based in country policies), I have trying to do whith the equations ando ORD dont work and close an exit. I thought it was for the syntax of the equation. Is it write corrctly?

Migrar de Inroads a Openroads

I have been working with Bentley InRoads V8i V08.11.05.47 since 2008, in this year I change to Openroads Designer Connect Edition.

Migration is being traumatic, starting with the xin; however I have noticed the absence of the most powerful tools that Inroads had; there was: Add Fixed curve, Add Floating Curve, Add Free Curve, versatile tools, comfortable, unique in the market, in ORD there are multiple tools but not with the same capacity or simplicity of Inrodas; maybe I have not been able to locate them or the methods used are different, the same applies to the profile tools.

Another sensible absence are the tools of Horizontal regression and vertical regression, maybe I do not know how to activate them, as it was done in the Aplications Add Ins of the Inroads.
