Adding a raised median to a single pavement section template?

Is it possible to split a template and add something in between a single pavement section template? In this particular case I am trying to add a raised median to a section that was made for a flush median. Instead of rebuilding the template I would like to split the current template down the middle and add in what I need to. Is this possible?

Creating an Annotation definition for Profile Elevations in Plan View

Has anyone ever gotten this to actually work? When I watch this video posted by Bentley all of my elevations come in as 0.00' even though I have an active profile associated to my smart line.. The goal is to produce edge of pavement elevations every 25' showing the proposed elevations.

Cross Section Named Boundary Annotation

I made some changes to an alignment and when I went back to the cross section named boundaries, all the annotation was off when reannotating them. It seems to be that they are annotating the wrong cross section in each XS cut. A cross section is annotated with slopes and elevations for one that is 2000' down the alignment. Has anyone ever experienced this before? Is there a way to someone resync the named boundaries to the new adjusted alignment? It was shortened and a PI was taken out.

SUDA Modeling of existing utilities

I am trying to model existing utilities for our cross sections and am having a hard time modeling utilities that have bends like this watermain shown. I have inverts at the beginning and end of that line, and want to utilize the existing linework but only use the inverts I have. I tried used the extract from graphic tool, but it doesn't seem like you can modify the inverts when you do it that way. Does anyone have any work arounds or ideas other than adding a bunch of nodes and creating this long bend? I have a lot to do in not a lot of time so would rather not add all those nodes at bends.

How do you drape an aerial in Openroads Designer Connect Edition?

I feel like there should be a simple solution to this... but how do you drape an aerial to the triangles in a file? I tried bringing in my aerials through reference manager and changing the Draping option to yes and still doesn't work. I am using an aerial that is not from google earth. Does that matter? I would hope not.. Current version we're running is 2020 R3

ORD 2021 R1 Annotating XS with slope for listed segments

Hej

I am struggling with slope annotation for on cross sections. Basically I would like to create list of points for segments to be annotated with slope.

For some reason all segments are annotated. I have few adjacent corridors there - so is there a way to annotate slope with two pints that are not from the same corridor?

Also even if Points are chosen from template it will not work. It has been a time since I last defined XS annotation group but I think it used to work - the only problem I had in the past was to annotate slope or distance between 3D linear objects that are not from corridor.

Any tips highly appreciated :)

Drone aerial images importation

Is there a way to import .tif aerial photos into Openroads Designer? I imported the point cloud and have created a terrain, but now I would like to import the .tif files that the drone captured. Is this possible to do? I'm working in OpenRoads Designer CONNECT Edition.

Survey conversion from SS10 to Openroads Designer

I'm trying to convert a pickup survey done in ss10 to Openroads Designer. I was able to export and import it using a land xml file, but when I import it into ORD the feature definitions do not display properly. It's almost like it is holding out to the feature definitions from the older workspace. I've tried to edit the feature definition in the project explorer window but the feature definition portion is greyed out. Is there a way to assign the correct the feature definitions?

Openroads designer cross section labeling

We’re trying to label our cross sections, and we are using a preset annotation group. For some reason we cannot get the tie in slopes to display. We tried using the “create list of segments tool” and that doesn’t seem to work right either. When I apply expressions when using the create a list then all the slopes get deleted. So, trying to stick with the “use all segments tool” in the segments to be filtered tab. Any suggestion or idea why our tie in slopes won’t annotate? Also proposed elevations are not showing up either.

Cross Section Editing

Hello I am working in ORD for the first time and cannot find any tools that were similar to the Cross Section Navigator tools that were available in ss10. Are there any tools that I can use to create working lines in the cross section view? We want to review the cross sections and draw in different slopes and different lengths and what not to see what works best. This was super easy to do in ss10 is this no longer an option?

Earthwork Quantities - Fill and Unsuitables

I am removing 4" of topsoil was able to get it to show up in my cross section using the Unsuitable section in the End Area Volume Tool. However, when the fill is being calculated in this tool, it is not covering all of the area that is the unsuitable removal (topsoil removal). So the fill is only showing as the area between the bottom of my proposed to the existing ground. See picture 1 below. I need my fill to also include the depth of the unsuitables. Picture two shows the additional fill (blue shaded area) or the unsuitable cut, that I also want included in my fill. Is there some way to get microstation to also include this area in the fill?

Editing Profile After "Profile Complex by Elements" has been used

Is it possible to edit a profile after the "profile complex by elements" has been used? I have a proposed bike path profile that needs more PIs added to it. I want two line segments to replace 6 different lines. Is this possible without having to redo the whole profile? I haven't had much luck using the Append profile tool either. I tried using the modify tool-> delete vertices, but is there a better way to add segments or delete lines? Once it is complexed I have all sorts of issues editing it. Any suggestions?

Geopak - corridor properties unable to change design stage(s)

I seem to have lost the ability to change the design stage of a corridor.

When I attempt to change the design stage via the properties menu of the corridor I receive a much expanded list of properties. Notice, I don't have the option to change a design stage though. The corridor appears to be functioning properly, i.e. still have the ability to view sections and the profile. This is the only corridor in the project of 19 corridors that I am having this issue.

Importing multiple text files in Microstation Openroads Survey

I am importing multiple text files into a survey file and modifying all the linking codes in this file. I started modifying one text file at a time and notice when I bring in another text file into the field book, then a lot of my previous work is disturbed or the new points try connecting to my already modified linking codes and messes everything up. I also tried just adding another field book, but then i am unable to connect lines that should continue between the two field books. Is there a way to add a data file to a field book without disturbing the current progress in the file? I'm working in Power GEOPAK V8i SS4.
