Set-PWFolderWorkflow or Set-PWWorkflowByFolderPath Throwing error and not attaching workflow

I'm trying to attach a workflow to a folder.

I can attach it manually from the settings dialog ( so I think the Folder and the Workflow are working)

when I try to use "Set-PWFolderWorkflow" (or "Set-PWWorkflowByFolderPath")

the CMDlet is erroring out:

WARNING: Failed to set the workflow for folder 'MiFiles'. ErrorID: 56046
WARNING: Failed to set workflow for 'MiFiles'.

56046 - "Could not find the specified table in the database"

the code I am using goes like this:

$NewWorkflow = "Act51 - Submittals"

if ($PWfolder = Get-PWFolders -FolderPath $TargetPath -JustOne)

}

Not a lot of detail to these CMDlets....

Can anyone see anything I may be off track on?

ProjectWise Environment - default system variables

Set-PWdocumentState is giving me an error: "Could not load file or assembly 'ClosedXML, Version=0.90.0.0..."

Set-PWdocumentState is giving me an error:
"Could not load file or assembly 'ClosedXML, Version=0.90.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=fd1eb21b62ae805b' or one of its dependencies. The system cannot find
the file specified."

It won't supress ($null = , | Out-Null) but it doesn't prevent the State from being changed....is there a "secret handshake"?

Get/Remove-PWFolderSecurity bug

I setup a simple folder structure:

Project Folder
  |-Folder 1
  |-Folder 2
  |-Folder 3

Project Folder inherits the default access control from Document.
Each sub-folder has security applied - 2 Userlists, the same 2 userlists on each folder.

If I do:

Remove-PWFolderSecurity -InputFolder "Project Folder\Folder 3" -MemberType 'userlist' -MemberName "All Users"

It will remove the UserList from Folder 1 instead of Folder 3.

I have a similar issue with Get-PWFolderSecurity -InputFolder "Project Folder\Folder 3"

This shows me the security from Folder 1, not Folder 3

I’d like to see if there is a way to check the users that are logged into the data sources without using the get-pwusers command, I meant sql statement.

I am passing a ProjectWise folder into a function for processing created with:

$PWfolder = get-pwfolders -FolderID $TfolderID -JustOne

what do I use for the Type in the Parameters in my function?

I tried "ProjectWiseFolder"...but that was not correct...didn't work, anyway.

maybe I didn't specify that type correctly...or give it the right location to find that type??

but that seems a little Generic...

is that the only option, or is there a way to specify that this is a ProjectWise Folder.

Remove-PWFolderSecurity 50000 Error on Successful execution

I ran this question through another thread and K Van Haaren was able to reproduce it...

We are seeing it in the PWPS DAB Version 2. 1. 8. 0

Anybody have any experience with this? know how to suppress it? How to avoid it?

The Odd thing is that it does remove what I asked it to...It just seems to be throwing a false error..."50000 Not specified"

get-pwfolderSecurity returns extreme number of entries

I ran “Get-PWFolderSecurity” on a folder under my own test area…

it only has a couple folder security entries and a couple Document security entries.

The CMDlet returned 3,161 records and took ~17 minutes to execute

3100 records seems extreme to me…

what should I expect for a number of returns? any insight?

request/Inquiry: "System-type dialog for ProjectWise"

Is there a way to bring up a dialog to have the user select a file or folder in ProjectWise?

Something similar to this Function:

This uses a systems window to locate and select a file name . The other useful function opens a dialog and allows the user to select a location to use when writing a log file out etc.

This can all be done in windows, but it might be nice to be able to select this type of data from a simple ProjectWise explorer dialog.

Maybe it is already there??? if so ...great! where? :-)

if not, please add it to the "wish list".

update-pwfolderSecurity apply changes to subfolder

I see where update-pwfolderSecurity can update the security, apply the inherited security to a targeted folder ...

But is there a way to "copy the security to sub-folders"?

and now that is what I am using.....

Is there an install of the pwps CMDlets for 64 bit?

I am trying to add some security to a folder and I am getting the below error:

Editing the Attribute-style Properties of Custom Work Area Property.

I am trying to find a way to Get and Set the Properties of a defined "Project Property" in a Work Area Type.

So a Work Area Type has "Properties"...(similar to "Attributes" for files) and each of those "Properties" (that more closely resemble Attributes) have Properties of their own (yes, I know..."Properties of Properties", my head is exploding too). So...

The "REGION" in the list is a "Work Type Area's" (Specifically "Project") "Property.

When you "Open" This "Property's" ...Properties(right-click..."Properties")...you get the "REGION Properties" Dialog (shown)

I am trying to find a way through Powershell to change the "Value" Property which consists of two check Boxes, A "Type" selection , And an "SQL Select statement"

Who ever said "asking a question was easy"???? :-D

Assuming anyone "followed" that...

Do you know if it can be can it be done?
