These are the Service I HL-93 support reactions when running a Line Girder analysis.

I am wondering if this is a glitch in LEAP Steel, as the Service I deflections are substantially higher using Line Girder or Grillage analysis compared to FEM, and the live load reactions output in what looks like binary code.

See FEM results below for comparison.

Could this be a file related issue or a glitch in the program? Versions of LEAP below.

Thank you

Ask A Question I

Ask a question in a forum.

LEAP Steel Service II Deformations

Are there are any known issues with Service II deflections in LEAP steel?

I am getting the same weird results with and without temperature added to the default Service II loads. Also, I am assuming these are long term deformations but LEAP doesn't explain it well. Beefing up the web depth to the recommended depth-to-span ratio does not improve it much.

This is the only design check that is failing. The design summary table shows Strength I controlling at all point of interests. Has anyone encountered this?

Thanks all!
