I am a qualified Architect who first used MicroStation v4 in 1992 and joined Bentley's Technical support Group in May 2013 specialising in AECOsim Building Designer.
A lot of my time is spent in our forums and wikis, interetsing things that I find out are documented in my blog: Looking Under the Bonnet...
Prior to joining Bentley I worked as a freelance CAD/BIM consultant (Isisst Project Technology) supporting architects' use of MicroStation and other Bentley tools, as well as general IT and networking support.
Previously I worked as a CAD consultant with Cadventure, that followed a long period at Architects Design Partnership (ADP). At ADP, having worked as a project architect in London and Oxfordshire for several years, I moved in 1996 to part-time CAD manager. This role expanded, with the rapidly changing technology, over 11 years to that of IT Director. In this period I built up ADP's network from groups of isolated workstations to a fully integrated network spread over 5 sites throughout the UK. This gives me a broad background in general IT and networking in addition to my core architectural and CAD knowledge.
