Because of this horizontal feature constraint, my model has an edge of pavement that is further to the right than its original location in the template. When I try to apply an end condition exception, the template editor that opens up does not recognize that my edge of pavement is not at its original location, so the new end condition is placed at its original location in the template and not at its actual location in the model, which is, again, further to the right because of the horizontal feature constraint. Has anyone encountered a similar issue, and is there a solution that involves still being able to use an end condition exception rather than modifying the template itself? Thank you.

Issue Using the Same Feature Definition for Template Trigger Lines on Both Sides of a Corridor

When running templates with trigger lines in ORD, I am finding that I cannot have trigger lines on both sides of a corridor that search for the same feature definition. An example would be using a trigger line that starts left of the center of my template, and searches to the left only, for a "Curb Back" feature definition. Once I try to add a second trigger line that starts on the right, and searches to the right only, for the same "Curb Back" feature definition, I am finding that only one of the trigger lines will work at a time. This did not use to be an issue in SS10 using Geopak. In order to work around this I am using different feature definitions on either side, or running two separate corridors for the left and for the right side of the roadway, but neither of these solutions are ideal. I do not understand why I cannot use two different trigger line searches that are searching in two different directions, and why they would affect one another. Has anyone encountered a similar issue, and does anyone know a solution for this? I would like to be able to use "Curb Back" feature lines in my plan view design file as my corridor references, and do a similar thing for paved shoulders, sidewalks, etc. Thank you.

Let me Help You

Answer a question that is verified as helpful or correct.

Key Station

Hi,

I am new to openroads desginer. I have been working with Inroads SS10 and SS2 earlier.

A variation i noticed in ORD , point control start and end chainages do not add additional drop points to the corridor. Key stations have to be added.

I am stuck with Linear template. There is no option to add additional point / Key stations. Due to template not dropped at the point control start end locations the model does not look complete. Gaps are formed.

How do i add key stations to Linear template or add Event point to the alignment.

I am using Openroads 2020 release 2

Thanks in advance.

How Do I Change Linear Stroking for Linear Template?

I have a linear template that I would like to drop at 1 ft intervals.
