I think your having a similar issue as Chris above. Check the project survey settings. I've clipped a few to show different results. Scenario 1: Scenario 2: Processing raw data is a little different than importing ascii data. Hope that helps…

  • ORD 2020R3 Intersecting Profile not working

    Mark Plum
    Mark Plum
Folks: Has anyone been aware of the Intersecting Profile Command not working in ORD 2020R3? We can pick the alignments with associated verticals, but no point appears in the profile where the intersection takes place. There appears to be some schema…

The connection client want to ALWAYS start, even when no Bentley products are running. Why does this matter? Because I'd prefer you don't have an avenue of monitoring my activities when I am doing personal business such as banking or chatting with clients…

  • Cached References Message is Not Helpful

    Robert Garrett
    Robert Garrett
This is not a helpful message. Not only is it very cryptic it provides no help towards a solution nor any suggestion about what bad things are going to happen (or not) if I ignore the message. But there is a bigger issue. References are being updated…

I have had the same issues. We have many corridors linked to our vertical alignments. If the complex is deleted and rebuild all those corridors usually blow up. As far as editing existing complex elements, I have had luck removing curves from a complex…

Hear! Hear! The alignment editing tools - both horizontal and vertical - in SS2 were straightforward, flexible and powerful. The ORD design flow assumes that the designer knows all of the constraints at the time of creation. In reality the designer…

Hmmmmm....I count only 10 people who have responded here besides yourself, and not all of these were endorsements. I would hardly call that " very obvious from the comments that the designer community see this technique as a more functional solution"…

My favorite InRoads convoluted explanation is explaining the default preference: "By default, the default Preference Name is Default!" Pure Gold!

Yes, perhaps a complete catalog of all referenced objects. Of course it could be limited in scope according to the user's needs, but maybe have a whole tree of all template points along with all objects (especially external, but also internal to the template…
