My query is about using the Modal Frequency Calculation...

I've been checking the modal frequency of the structure as a whole but the client asked how we deal with the concentrated loads in the middle of the beams.

I said that if they wanted to check the frequency considering the local displacement of the members, we'll have to add joints at the load locations and run the model again.

But they don't want that because it's too much of a hassle and just want the detailed output.

I've never seen a detailed output for Frequency Calculation but is there a detailed output or a way to check the how STAAD deals with members that have a concentrated load at the middle?

Thank you in advance!

STAAD Advanced Concrete design: text schedule font problem

Good day, people!

When I print the text schedule, I can't read the reinforcement details because they're all in symbols.

How do I fix this?

I would just like to ask

I am working on a big model like 25m by 180m and upon running the analysis, it stopped at RUN BY LOAD CASE or something.

So I took a part out and removed some plates and turned all braces into truss members.

It's now like 30% of the original model but when running the analysis (Until past the load combination), it took around 20 mins.

Is there a reason why it's taking this long?

I'm not sure if it's because of all the repeat loads but I saw other models with this format and it didn't take that long.

Please and thank you! <3communities.bentley.com/.../Simple-model.STD

STAAD.Pro CONNECT EDITION AIJ 2005

We used STAAD.Pro SS6 before and to separate the long term case and the short term case, we used the parameter TMP which does not divide the FYLD by 1.5.

In the new CONNECT Edition, the allowable is always divided by 1.5 and the TMP parameter is gone.
