I was wondering if there are any people who work with both Openbuildings and Revit who could help me with a problem.

We are working with contractors who work with Revit, and we would like to exchange files through IFC. However, when they open our IFC's they see all our cutouts/subtractions/other operations in addition to the model, so the model is not usable for them. When they convert the IFC to a Revit file, the cutouts/substractions/other operations are no longer visible, and they can work with the model, but sometimes elements seem to disappear (which are still present in the IFC). I export with the IFC2x3 CV2.0 setting.

Short recap:
-Export dgn through Openbuildings as IFC
-Import IFC directly in Revit: additional elements which makes the model unusable
-Convert IFC to rvt and import in Revit: additional elements disappear, but sometimes other elements disappear as wel.

I am using the latest version of Openbuildings (10.10.00.199)

Is there maybe someone who has had the same problem?

I am using 'Clip volume: clip volume' > 'section clip tools' > 'apply clip by section plane', but when I place it this way, it seems to randomly jump up or down over long distances.
I am trying to make a door element for a revoling door, with a regular cell as the underlying 3d part. When I try to place it, the flip handle is so far away from the element that I get a "Solids Working Area Information" warning every time I open the file. It also makes the file a lot slower. The cell itself doesn't seem to be the problem, because when I drop the application element to a regular cell all the warnings and slowness stops.
On what is the distance of the flip handle to the door based? Can I change this?

I was wondering if anybody has had the same problem, and hopefully a solution.

I am trying to print to jpg from a 3d model, and have attached a raster image. If I print in smooth display style without shadows everything is fine. However, when I switch to smooth display style with shadows it won't print the raster image anymore. (although it still shows up in the view.) Since it prints correctly without shadows, I don't think this is a level setting problem (I checked too) or a printer settings problem. Anybody any suggestion of things to try? See images below for images.

smooth display style with shadows in view

smooth no shadows print jpg

smooth with shadows print jpg

I was wondering if it was possible to model and adjust solids in Openbuildings without making a parametric solid that keeps every step saved. I have colleagues that tend to design in Openbuildings, but keeps adjusting certain volumes, cutting here and there, pushing and pulling a bit, cutting holes, and after a while we get parametric solids with a tree of around 50 steps if not more. We get the feeling that this might make for a very heavy object, and indeed files seem to be getting rather large rather quick. We can always drop the object, but it would be easier if we had access to either non feature tools, or to a setting to automaticly drop an object after using a tool.

Thanks in advance and with kind regards,

We received an IFC model from an engineering firm and would like to do a clash control. The problem is that a lot of the pipework is being cast in to the concrete, and so currently running the clash detection gives about 2000 clashes. They have connected IFC information to the model to clarify if it's being cast in or not, but I don't know how to access it in Openbuildings.
This is how it looks in Solibri:

Is there any way to just reference the IFC file, use the "suppress clashes with elements that have a specific property value", to prevent this? Or are there any other suggestions on how to approach this.
Of course I know the easiest answer is to ask the firm to supply the files with either the elements on separate layers or even a separate file, but if possible I would like to do it ourselves to prevent any additional charges.

Thanks,
