Conduits and Item Types

Folks:

I would like to know how the members are assigning multiple Item Types to a singular conduit feature definition in OpenRoads Drainage and Utilities.

Some background: We have- for instance- a single feature definition- "RCP" (Reinforced Concrete Pipe) which is tied to the Hydraulic Prototype (RCP) which is accessing the Conduit Catalog for various sizes related to this feature definition (18", 24", 30", etc.). Because we have different Pay Items that need to be assigned to different sizes of pipe- and as I have only the feature definition "RCP" which I can assign an Item Type to- how can I get the software to understand different Pay Items based upon the size of the conduit I need? I was hoping that there would be a place in the Conduit Catalog where such an Item Type could be assigned, but it does not seem to exist there. The absurd solution of creating feature definitions for each size and type of pipe comes to mind?

How are you folks handling this "issue"?

OpenRoads Designer Cross Section Side Slope Labels

I am trying to get our cross section side slopes to annotate properly and I'm not having any luck at all. Referring to the images below, the side slope label is labeling between the top of slope point and fill point and not to the intermediate hinge point (the top image). The segment labels should be 3:1 and 2:1 respectively (the bottom image).

I was going to create two different annotation definitions; one for cross slopes between the CL, EP and ES and another one for the side slopes that included those segments. BUT, in testing it appears that in defining that way, I can't get the anything to annotate, at least in the preview I can't.

In the image below, I am using a slope annotation definition on the left that is defined using all segments and on the right I used the "new" annotation definition using a list of segments.

Has anyone else experienced similar issues with annotating cross sections?
