Cut Fill Volume voids

ORD Print with Transparency

I am trying to print cross sections with some of my references as transparent and am having no luck. I went into my 3D model and made 2 of my corridor modeling files transparent. Initially I tried by making the reference transparent, but that didn't work, so I also made transparent by using the level manager

I have the transparency box checked in print attributes. And have tried printing both individual sheets and using Print Organizer.

What am I missing?

Reassign alignment in plan profile drawings

We have plan profile drawings cut from an alignment and want to reassign the alignment. We inadvertently created a duplicate Alignment and the plans were cut from that alignment instead of the true alignment. Of course, in our workings we deleted the extra alignment and now the profile disappears in our file. Any thoughts, other than re-cutting our sheets?

Profile not plotting correctly

I have an existing profile for a 30 mile widening project. We used profile/profile creation/profile from surface to create an existing profile. We then cut plan/profile sheets. The feature definition appears to be correct, and when we zoom into the profile view the line style appears to be correct, but the line style is incorrect when printing. We are using NDDOT CADD standards, and all of our other files are printing correctly.

We are using OpenRoads Designer 10.10.21.04

Any thoughts why we are not getting the print to be what we want it to?

Measure perpendicular not working - ORD 10

Using the perpendicular measure tool from alignment works fine before a PT, but does not work beyond a PT along my alignment. The command keeps going to the PT. Is this something that would cause problems down the road? The label with text favorite works fine. Thoughts?

Alignment and Profile Annotation

After annotating both horizontal alignments and profiles we sometimes need to move the curve data to avoid overlapping text. We must have something set that automatically moves text back to it's original location, because after the text is moved it reverts back to the original location. Any idea how to avoid this?

Append alignment containing reverse curve by tangent

I have an alignment that contains reverse curves which were created with the "reverse curve by tangent" tool. When I use the amend alignment tool, it allows me to choose the new elements, but does not "clip" out the old portion of the alignment. I don't want to drop my original alignment because I don't want to lose my profile. Thoughts? ORD 2020 Release 2 Update 8 Version 10.08.01.33

Unable to find model

We are having trouble with a file which we cannot bring from backup. We are using SS10.

When trying to open the file, we get the information box stating "Unable to open design file. "Please contact your local site administrator or technical support provider for further assistance."

When trying to reference the file in a different file, we get "Unable to find model "(null)" in Control.dgn". (Control.dgn is our file name)

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Civil Display Browser - medic bag

Civil display browser used to have a "medic bag"/repair that I used to on corridors when we had problems with them. I see that I can still run civil display browser, but I don't see the "medic bag"/repair tool. Thoughts?

ORD - Combining alignments/profiles

I am using ORD 2020 V 2 (10.08.01.33) and have a series of alignments with profiles that I need to combine into one alignment/profile. Is there an automated way to do this, or do I need to create one complete alignment, project the current profiles and recreate the proposed profile? Thank you in advance.

ORD - Generating Plan & Profile Sheet

Hello,

I am trying to generate Plan & profile sheets following ODOT's example videos. I have generated the proposed alignments in the BK file and generated the GP drawings using the design2d file from the create design files application. I referenced in the alignments from the BK drawing and went through the steps using the place named boundary command. However when i get to the step to have the program "create drawing" I get an error that reads "Failed to attach savedview to model".

Has anyone else come across this issue?

ORD Point Control Sorting

Has the ability to sort point controls been added? Or, if they could be exported and imported, we could sort outside ORD.

I am considering removing all point controls and re-inserting them just so I can get them sorted.
