I am trying to find a way to annotate 3D linear features in cross-sections, currently the annotation definitions / Groups for points and segment rely on the template points only, as I understand it.

However I am not sure if there is way to annotate Sta / Off / Slope for 3D linear feature that are not included in the template. Previously, Inroads SS2 we had the capability to annotate existing DTM features on cross-sections which was a very convenient for analysis and evaluation.

I am using Openroads Designer 2021 Release 1

Component Quantities Discrepancies

Hi,

Does anyone have some experience with discrepancies using corridor component quantities tool, I have been trying to get some quantities from a corridor that is attached as reference in a different working file. When I compared the quantities extracted from the corridor in the reference file VS quantities extracted from the actual corridor file, I have noticed major discrepancies in the Fill volumes and minor discrepancies in the other component meshes. I went further to investigate I tried to extract the quantities from a different file where the corridor is also referenced in, I got quantities closer to the ones extracted from the corridor itself but not exact.

Does anyone have experience with this issue?

I am using Openroads Designer Connect 2020R3

From Corridor file

I am new to this IFC world and wanted your opinion. We have a project where we are modelling everything in ORD and the client is requesting input files (IFC) to be imported into BIM 360.

I have searched everywhere online and I couldn't find any direct solution, my understanding is that ORD IFC export is the latest version (4) which is not supported by Autodesk products.

I was wondering if anyone has work around to export ORD corridors to a compatible version with BIM 360.

Thanks in advance !!

Ask A Question I

Ask a question in a forum.
