We are creating design terrain models for a large scheme, using the create from graphical filter tool. We use the add feature tool to insert additional elements into the terrain, and then edit the terrain to trip the model to the boundary we want - i.e the earthworks slope.

To edit the terrain we need to remove the rules, but if we add another feature the rules are reinstated and any edits are removed. Is there any way of retaining the edits when adding features?

In addition is there a way of setting a feature definition to automatically act as the model boundary of a terrain, instead of manually trimming? The models we create the terrains from are built up of many corridors and linear templates rather than one corridor so we can't use the corridor as a boundary as I have read is possible.

Any help would be much appreciated - we are new to ORD and trying to find the simplest way of carrying out a task which at the minute takes quite a long time!

Export complex terrain settings

I have made a complex terrain using OpenRoads designer that I would like to export to an InRoads DTM. When I export the terrain it is scaling everything up by 0.3048 for some reason. I can fix it back in InRoads, by using the Transform Surface tool and setting it to go from US Feet to meters which actually gets it back to the proper US survey foot size and coordinates. Is there a setting somewhere in OpenRoads that is causing the export to be transformed?
