I had a similar issue, workaround that can help is to create a 0 distance offset partial alignment of the alignement, project the profile on it, and then project the profile from this offset to the primary profile view

Right komeda this tricky method works for me but that's a very basic tools Bentley has to solve out this in upcoming updates. ORD has so much bugs not expected with bentley. Thanks Lalit
