I am running ProjectWise Explorer Client 10.00.02.99. I am facing a issue with renditions. The issue is found when changes have been made to a reference file. If you create a rendition within the Explorer client, the rendition will not show the most recent changes made, and display old reference data. When I create a plot through interplot organizer, the rendition comes out correctly, and displays the most recent changes made to its references. Any help would be much appreciated. Thank you.

ProjectWise Print Organizer disregarding workspace & searching for local system fonts.

Hello All,

I am facing an issue with Print Organizer through ProjectWise. I am using PowerGEOPAK SS4, and ProjectWise Connect Edition. When I create a Print Style and apply it my print set, it is working incorrectly. It appears to find the border correctly, along with the pen weight, and line styles stashed away in the pltcfg. However, it is not grabbing any of the correct fonts (.RSC) from my workspace. It keeps searching for my local system fonts that came installed default with PowerGEOPAK.. C:\ProgramData\Bentley\PowerGEOPAK V8i (SELECTseries 4)\WorkSpace\System\Fonts

I have tried manually adding a variable in my .pcf to insure that print organizer grabs the correct fonts from my workspace, but still no luck. Here is the .cfg file spun up after adding files to print organizer. If you do a search for MS_FONTPATH, you will see that it is grabbing from my C drive vs where I tell it to.

Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

Those save me so much time (and frustration) when navigating to often used but non-standard directories.

I can't find that in ProjectWise Explorer, and it is slowly driving my blood pressure up.

I have a project-specific cell library, stored in a Standards subdirectory on my project. Every Single Time I need to access it, I have to navigate out of the workspace area of our setup, through all of the projects, then drill down to get to this folder. Every. Single. Time.

I'm sure I'm just missing a check box or pull-down somewhere...But where/how can I get to the "last used" option, like I have in MicroStation?
Thank you.
MaryB

Undefining & Locking Variables

Hello,

I am facing a difficulty in which one of my external clients have made a change to the msconfig.cfg file. Of course, this is not best practice, but was just the way it was set up to leave for the next man to deal with.

Anyways, in their msconfig.cfg on their PowerGEOPAK clients, it is setting a variable....

_USTN_EXAMPLE : F:/EXAMPLE RSC/

% include ${_USTN_EXAMPLE}EXAMPLEconfig.cfg

This change they have made is loading in a configuration file / macro as you can see, which is defining variables that overload my managed WorkSpace in PW.

Is there a way I can undefine _USTN_EXAMPLE, and then lock it. That way when the external client's users msconfig.cfg is read, it does not load that EXAMPLEconfig.cfg?

Thanks guys!

Ask A Question I

Ask a question in a forum.

Let me Help You

Answer a question that is verified as helpful or correct.

PW Working Directory not download completely on external client machines.

We have a managed WorkSpace that opens .pcf files depending upon the name of the Parent Project Folder. When I open the same .dgn as a external client does, my pw_workindir has around 20 dms folders containing all the cached workspace elements. When my external sub client opens the same .dgn, they only download around 5 cached dms folders, and are missing a huge chunk of the workspace.. fonts, pentables, etc.

It is not a security permission issue, as I have logged onto their machine remotely with my administrative account, and I got the same lacking results.

I have also tested on other machines not linked to their domain, nor mine, and those machines did download the complete workspace correctly.

I am using CONNECT Edition in ProjectWise 10.00.02.99 & SS4 in PowerGEOPAK

I feel like the issue lies solely on the single external client's machines, but I am not sure what I can do to help fix this. Please help... Thanks.
