I am trying to model an Indirect Water Cylinder within 'plant data' for a Level 5 EPC.

One of the variables that the software asks for is 'heat losses from unit' with the units being W/degree C.

Within SBEM, the heat loss is stated in MJ/month of by entering the water storage volume and insulation thickness.

Can someone please advise what this W/degree C relates to?

Many thanks

Once I had the building 'passing' within Part L Simulation - I then went back into Part L design database to adjsut figures and Simulation no longer recognises any of the changes.

For example - air permeability I changed to 3 to help the building to pass and then once passed I tried to change it back from 3 to 10 and the BRUKL within simulation still showed 3 and does not recognise and change.

The same thing happens with lighting data in design database too.

Many thanks

I am carrying out a frequency simulation calculation and want to add in an amount of fresh air to see the effect this has on overheating - either via air change rate or fresh air for occupants.

I know that the methodology for this is either to:

- click 'use equipment for fresh air ventilation only' under equipment simulation

or

- click additional fersh air (and then adjust the air change rate)

I also know that the multi zone air flow model must be selected under 'design data' too.

My questions are

1) Is there a preferred methodology?

2) When the fresh air or air change rate is added - what condition does hevacomp assume this air is at? i.e. room temp / 12 degrees etc? and how are these conditions adjusted?

I'd appreciate the help.

Regards

Kevin
