Version 22.03.00.28

When I try to enter the ASCE 7-16 code, it cannot seem to find a link. it hangs for about 1.5 to 2 minutes. Then it gives some error message.

I try to enter the white spaces manually, and it hangs again.

I've got a call into IT to uninstall and reinstall. But I'm thinking there is something wrong with the software or the link.

Help?

Seismic with transportation loads

I have a large warehouse type building that has a heavy bridge crane in it. The bridge itself runs along two stationary rails at each end of the bridge. The crane moves along the length of the bridge.

I add the load as a transportation load to account for it being in multiple places along the rails and the bridge. But I have one problem. On any given day, it will be "parked" at various locations. In such a situation, it would be considered a dead load that will contribute to seismic.

QUESTION: It seems that transportation loads cannot be included in seismic loads as a repeat or reference load. Can we have this functionality available in future versions?

Ask A Question I

Ask a question in a forum.

Inclined floor - Floor load

Hello,

I am struggling to define floor load to the top of the roof in the structure attached. I keep getting Y range issues. Can someone please help me with that.

I even tried assigning a group to the roof and then applying floor load at the roof but then I keep getting load generation error.

Thanks
