I'm designing a Vertical vessel foundation using IS 456. For pedestal reinforcement software still shows PIP reference any reasons. When it is defined as IS 456 it has to design pedestal based on IS 456 cl 26.5.3 1 & 2

Regarding Net bearing pressure and Gross bearing pressure, When we define net bearing pressure , The gross bearing pressure is net bearing pressure + soil weight . But for net SBC of 150 Kpa with a soil depth of 1.5 mtr I'm getting a Gross SBC of 1282 Kpa!! Any theory for this?

I'm using Octagonal foundation of 4mtr side.

Request your reply at the earliest

Regards

That means for calculation it has to consider only " y deflection " is that correct? In my file for deflection check, it is considering sqrt of ( all the three direction deflection ). My requirement is it has to consider only y deflection ?? Pls guide..

Beam Through Beam connection

Hi
