I have this odd problem that I can't reproduce on demand. Every day when have a drawing open for a while, I eventually get my text going crazy. For example there are a few random letters missing in my drawing, but if I click on the text to edit, the missing letter is actually still there. So if the letter q is appears to be missing, when I click to edit, it is actually still there. Usually only a few letters missing in a drawing, but other times all text from a certain font is missing, while a different font is not missing at all. Also, I have a cell with text that occasionally the text is distorted (twice as wide as normal). The missing text is also missing when printed.

If I close the Microstation and re open dgn, then everything is back to normal. I should also note that I often have 4 different session of microstation running at the same time. Not sure if that contributes to the problem. Out tech person, updated my video drivers, but that did not help. I have dual screens & Nvidia quadro fx 4600 (intel core 2 cup and 4GB RAM).

This never happened with v8i. Now I have v8i select series 2. (8.11.07.443), I think this this is when the problem started. Any idea, why this could happen? Thanks.

I tried to turn it on with "accudraw dialog shortcuts" keyin command, but that does not help. I tried rebooting with no luck. The only thing that help is if I use an old version of user pref file (upf). But that is not a good solution. While in other drawings when I scale down the arrow heads remain the same size as before scaling down. So if I select some details that include dimension lines, and scale it down in half, the details are half the size, but the dimensions arrow heads are the same as bofore. What setting in dimensioning styles controls this aspect? Thanks.

I heard that data fields can be useful for easy table text input. I would like to be able to input text similar to doing it in excel, where you type in text and press enter or tab and then it goes to the next cell, and eventually your prompt goes to the next row, ready for input. Can you do that with data fields? If so, how do you do that. That's all I want, nothing fancy. thanks.

I am looking for a simple copy paste text program. I have dimension text that need to be copied to a table. I have maybe 100 dimension which I drop element, then I copy each text and paste it into a pre-made table with blank text or "--". When doing this often, it gets time consuming and tedious. What I am hoping to find is a program that all you do is click on desired dimension text and then click on the blank dash text in the table, which gets replaced by the dimension text. So this would require just 2 clicks, and maybe have this program looping, ready to copy the next text.

I made a rough simplistic keying program (which does not loop) and is reduced to 4 clicks (inputs).

First a preselect the dim text, then "CLIPBOARD COPY;xy=0;choose no;edit TEXT" (this requires a control v input).

My question is the a simple program freeware that can help with copy pasting a slew of text from one place to another? Thanks

I often wish I could attach a note, describing a change or revision I made in my layout. So if revised to a new flange size or move it, I wish I could attach a note to the flange describing the revision. As this is done in my layout (not an official drawing) I don't want text notes cluttering up my layout drawing. Any ideas how I could do that? thanks.
