It's quite brutal to try to move through training when 75% of the time is spent waiting for a list to load. This is not an exaggeration. Total tutorial times are shown can be done in a few hours but will take all day because of watching the list of videos page to load. With technology today, and what I have seen from other software training sites, there has to be another way to make this more user friendly.

Just beginning with launching the video in another tab vs the same tab and losing the list of videos that you just spent 5 minutes to watch load.

Trust me, I already tried opening a second browser to start the list loading while watching a video. The lists of videos never load while the other browser already running.

I saw another user post "how does Bentley expect people to use this?" I agree. The efficiency is so low that it is truly seen as a waste of time, my group does not want to use it and we cant spend that much time away from projects. I would go so far as calling it a risk by this incredible wait time and risking the video not even cover what you need.

Is Bentley having any conversations about the issues with Bentley Learn Server taking forever to load just the list of videos? I'm sure it would be used more if it wasn't an unnecessary time hog.

Thanks.

Cogo Points

How can i store cogo points such as i did with GeoPak?

How do I change the point name increment in OpenRoads?

How do I change the point name increment in OpenRoads?
So now I'm trying to figure out why there are small right triangles formed at most of the cogo point vertices. It seems to have something to do with the "grips" created by the cogo label settings in SMD, so I erased text that came in during visualization. *Most" of these extra vertices can be deleted with the Edit Terrain tools, but eventually appear again. I deleted a bunch before realizing that I was redoing them. In the process of doing this, I lost a bunch of what were boundary lines, and going into the Terrain properties and toggling visibility of the calculated or source child items sometimes brings back the boundary lines, but also the tiny triangles just to the right of most of the cogo points. Can somebody address this behavior?

Been on Microstation for a whole 3 months and after 10 years with Civil 3D, I've had to consciously keep my sanity intact while dealing with issues like these.

Any tips would be appreciated.

EDIT - Yes, the title does not fit the body of message . . . I also would like to know if it's possible with SS10 terrains to add a triangle line without creating a line object and adding it to the terrain model. I can't find this option anywhere.

Would like assistance/instructions on how to do so please.

Construction stakeout reports that mark centerline for all event points in the geometry are critical to rail project construction. My prior experience is SS2 where inroads could produce an XML report called "centerline stakeout". The report included all horizontal event points, vertical event points, and could be set to standard station interval points as well (50ft or 100ft station intervals). Results were "Point Name, Northing, Easting, Elevation, Code". You could even assign a parallel offset to the proposed alignment and create an offset stakeout (say 25 ft offset from centerline either to the left or the right of centerline)

Old path in inroads SS2 was "Tools > XML Reports > Stakeout reports". Input file was a horizontal alg with a vertical profile.

I see there is a "centerline stakeout report" in open roads designer (under Geometry->reports) but it produces nothing from a complex geometry that has a fully developed horizontal and vertical in a geo-referenced environment.

Could someone please advise a method to produce a stakeout report that includes all event points (PC, PT, PVC, PVT, SC, CS) on a proposed geometry and includes 50ft station intervals? Report requires Point Name, Northing, Easting, Elevation, Code. Or could Bentley please incorporate the legacy capability into the new software?
