Question is basically the title, I have made an annotation group for cross sections. However, for some reason the slopes that annotate end condition segments do not get placed correctly. Even though the placement is set to tangent.

Am I doing something wrong? Or can ORD not yet annotate end conditions in cross sections?

I'm trying to convert some corridor meshes to workable 3D solids in .DWG.

I tried using the command ''Convert to Solid'' but this didn't immediately work. Browsing on the forum I found some threads suggesting to remove the data from the file by using the Fence command in the 3D view.

After trying that I got the result I wanted (a complete solid from a Corridor Mesh), HOWEVER, this only worked when the corridor was built using 1 single template. The corridors where I need a Solid from are all built from multiple template drops that are closed (no gaps between meshes).

After splitting the meshes, I tried the Convert to Solid again but it wont work anymore :/

The weird thing is: after splitting the Corridor mesh into small parts (ca. 2m) the Convert to Solid command DOES work, but only on the first mesh (see image)

(before command)

(after command)

(second mesh before command)

(second mesh error code)

Does anybody know why this happens and/or how to fix it so I can export a corridor made from multiple template drops to a 3D solid in .dwg?

Inroads SS4 Corridor Solids Extraction

Civil3D allows you to extract corridor features as a solid.
I struggle with sight visibility checks. By default we can use several methods to calculate sight distance (Italian, AASHTO, Australian and French). These methods are great because ORD can read the grade and speed from the alignment and we can do one visibility check for the entire corridor, unlike the table method, where we have to manually change required distance every time the grade changes.

Is there a way to add more methods or modify equations which program use to calculate sight distance?

Ask A Question I

Ask a question in a forum.

Where are Temp files stored?

Hello,

I did a big fucking oopsie and new files have been overwritten by older files (thanks autodesk docs).

The old files were apparently not saved on BIM but somewhere locally.

I'm hoping i can get those back, I know ORD autosaves files.

So my question is: does ORD store temp files, and if yes: where?

Error creating file when export to AutoCAD

hello guys,
