Question:

How can I display a Report in Cubic Yards instead of Cubic Feet?

Answer:

When a report is generated, the Bentley Civil Report Browser will appear.

In the Bentley Civil Report Browser, navigate to Tools and select Format Options.

In the Format Options dialog, select the toggle "Convert to Cubic Yard".

The Report will now display the Cubic Units as Cubic Yards rather than Cubic Feet.

Error using the Place Table tool with an Excel spreadsheet

Problem Description:

Using the Place Table tool with an Excel spreadsheet results in the error "Could not obtain data from data source". How can this be resolved?

Solution:

This error appears to occur as a result of an update to Microsoft Office. To resolve this issue, please follow the steps listed below:

1. Access the Apps & features dialog from the Settings menu.

2. In the field "Search this list", search for Microsoft 365 and then select the Modify button. Once the repair dialog opens, choose the option for "Quick Repair".

3. After the repair is completed, use the Place Table tool with an Excel spreadsheet to verify that it is placed without receiving this error.

4. If the error persists, completing an uninstall and reinstallation of Office 365 should resolve the issue.

In my report printout, I get distances in these units "Tangential Length: 1998:10.68" How do I change them to feet and tenths/hundredths of a foot?

I am not seeing something in Tools, Format Options???

Why has the Ideas Forum Been Removed?

Hi Bentley,
Why has the Ideas section been removed from this forum?
There were some fantastic ideas suggested by a number of power users, which would greatly enhance the product.
Have these been logged as enhancements and can we expect some of these to be actioned?
