Hello Cris, We have noticed the same issue with the CuttingSweepDirectionForwards, putting baseCS.XDirection or the XYplane is giving as Internal error, which should not be the case. Where as if we try to do the same thing V8i, it is working perfectly…

Hi Cris, As others mentioned it can be problematic working too far from origin: The work-around that I use is to have 2 coordinate systems, 1 "baseCS", 1 offset CS. When you reference a file into your design use the offset origin (calculate this so…

Hey mate, Yes that's me I remember you from MM as well, it's a small world! I haven't used GC within OBM but AFAIK they haven't developed any OBM specific tools yet, and there is currently no way to apply element templates with GC that I know of in the…

Hi Crisanto, If it's already mapped, you can change the variable manually, but the program will refresh that value automatically because he knows that he need to search the terrain level after each modification. If you want manually you place without…

There is no option to create by default a bridge of that kind. You can try to model the bridge with the current functionality but you will not get a full model. Things that I would do: - the deck should be the Main element, the one that gives all…

Hi Crisanto, Here's a link to a wiki that explains the process. How to display the V8i style Tasks dialog in MicroStation CONNECT Edition?

Yes, it does install as a new and separate program. In fact, I'd guess most of us have a copy of v8i and Connect loaded (out of necessity).

Hello Crisanto, As Jon Summers have mentioned, both versions can be installed on the same computer without effecting each other. As Jon stated correctly, MicroStation V8i (SS3) is a 32-bit application installed in a different location then MicroStation…

With the focus in the AccuDraw window, use the shortcut 'P' to be able to key-in 'M' (multiple) or 'P' (single) points in XYZ. AccuDraw always give the delta x, y, z from the last point when entering data.
