The issue I have been having is that I designed a whole drainage network, had cut cross sections and was labeling the cross sections. I noticed yesterday when I am looking at my cross sections that my drainage structures were modified instead of being the cross section of an inlet, it was displaying a generic box that was not in the right location. This is happening at all my inlets.

Below is what it is supposed to look like. This is from a pdf I had printed before.

I went back to my design file so I can see what was happening. I had originally drawn a Type 4 inlet in there but it was not just a box.

This is what the structure looked like in a previous PDF I had printed

Looking at the structure information nothing seems out of the ordinary.

I cant seem to change the structure back.

As a test I tried to place another inlet. But when I am placing the inlet there is no feature definition usually there is a picture of a drainage inlet that I can place. Instead there is a box that says STM on it. When I place the structure, it is not placed in plan view. However, if I go in to the node report I can see that the structure is listed.

I just tried to open the file a little bit ago and I saw the following message. I was not sure what it meant, and I hit no.

Can somebody please help. Any ideas of what it could be?? Is the file corrupted? Could it be an ORD setting??

Thanks!!!

Editing Drainage Nodes in OpenRoads

I am currently using OpenRoads Designer to lay out some drainage networks. We have a few flumes in our system. The flumes need to extend behind sidewalk, however the default length of the node placed cannot be edited.

Would we have to create new nodes to display the back of the flume in the correct location? Or is there a way to edit it in the properties dialog? I am unsure of the process to create a new node.

The design involves putting in 4 new feet of pipe at the structure and then attaching it with a concrete collar. Im not sure how I can draw this in ORD. Part of the pipe would be existing and the other half would be proposed. Also not sure if there is some sort of cell for a concrete collar. I did this by creating a MODLRD file and manaully drawing up all the pipes and nodes for that area based off of survey.

Now I want to add inlets, manholes and pipes for my proposed design.

I was trying to figure out the best way to do this.

- Should I just keep expanding on that existing MODLRD file?

-Should I create a new MODLRD file for my proposed drainage and reference my existing drainage file? Can I just copy in my existing drainage?

One of the things that I need to do is try to modify existing inlet tops and change the tops to manholes while leaving the bottom structure the same.

Hello,

I am working on creating an existing drainage model.

i drew an existing manhole and connected some 48" pipes to it. But the pipes are now way to big for that manhole structure. I want to make the bottom structure of the manhole bigger.

I tried going to "open utility properties" and making it a box structure and changing the size of the box to 15' (just to test). But it does not seem to update.

How can I make the structure bigger to fit the pipes?

I am using Open Roads designer 10.10 with FDOT connect 10.10 add in.
