Hi,

Any idea how to set the Line Length setting in the Advanced tab of Text Styles? no matter what value I enter, the line length of my text does not change.

Text height & width Vs. Dimension height & width

Hi,

Have noticed in V8i, that if I place a dimension at 1:200, the text height and width will be 500,500

However, at the same scale 1:200 , the section callout text size is 202 height and width

Same story in all othere scales, the callout text is always smaller than the dimension text

Does anyone know why they are different? and how to fix.

Section Callout text scale

Hi,

In v8i SS2 we have the following issue:-

- Place a section callout (at say 1:100 Settings > Drawing Scale)

- Place a dimension at the same scale 1:100

- Edit the callout text

- Now, compare the text size in the callout with the text size of the dimension...are they the same?

If you explode the callout and the dimension, you'll be able to get the text height and width for both.

This applies to any other scale you choose.

Why is the scale different between the two element types although both placed at 1:100?

Drawing Title

Hi,

We use the 'Place Drawing Title on our plot sheets, and we noticed that on the rotated plot sheets (rotated views), the Drawing Title is also rotated when placed (SS1)...if we use the Drawing Title in XM (which is delivered with Bentley Architecture annotation tools), the Drawing Title is not rotated when placed onto the same file.

How can we solve this problem?

Cloud By Points

Hi,

Does anyone know how to customise the 'Cloud By Points' tool? We want to draw the cloud using specific color and weight and to be on one of our standard levels.

The older style of this tool (I think it was from Bentley Architecture) had a Revision Indicator triangle as well where you can add some text...any idea how to add this to the tool?

Model Properties Scale

Hi,

I'm trying to setup various scales via the 'Model properties' settings box (see attached)

How can I get the users to just select the scale they want from the drop down list (1:1 1:2 1:10 etc etc)?

I know I can use the 'Drawings Scale' and setup a 'Custom' scale, but I'm sure there must be a file somewhere to add the required scales for people to select from.
