I figure since we are approaching a long weekend(At least in the US). I would like to bring to your attention that we recently posted on SELECT Downloads, Civil Content for Visualisation 08.11.07.05. This is a free download that contains a variety of 3D cells libraries. There are cells for light posts, traffic poles, street furniture, and other traffic control devices.

This will compliment the content that MicroStation provides, like the Audi shown above.

It can be found on SELECT Downloads by setting the following categories:

Product: All

Product line: Content

Release language: English

Download category: Enhancements and Updates

Files posted with last: All

I hope that these cells will be helpful to add depth to your OpenRoads models, and also provide a little fun while dressing up your designs.

I have a very long corridor (aprox 18km) where I am trying to model some fill around some tunnel elements. For that I am using parametric constraints and key stations so I can keep my number of templates to a minimum and the template drops the same.

But lately I have noticed that my model is painfully slow. If I am trying to draw some civil geometry like a simple line, it takes around 1-2min to process and it's just a simple line. Also when I change the stationing for a template drop or do a new one it takes a long amount of time.

To be fair so far I have 154 key stations, 36 template drops and 200 parameters and I am only at a quarter along the alignment.

So are there any settings to sped up the model? I am using OpenRoads CE 2020 R3. Thank you.

Import Corridor Key Station

Is there a way to import a list of Key Stations into a Corridor? I can select them and reset to continue, but it doesn't rebuild or add to the corridor. I've deleted the matchlines and made new ones, I deleted ALL the corridor references and added them again and these in particular won't add. They're in the same template drop where a matchline right next to it is working...

I did have these intersections as civil cells and clipped the corridor (and since hand built the intersections and deleted the clipping) but not sure if this affects it in any way.

Also my corridor and intersections are in separate files, again not sure if it affects anything.

First, I essentially have the same problem as described in this person's post and would really like to get an answer.

https://communities.bentley.com/products/road___site_design/f/geopak-inroads-mx-openroads-forum/196435/conceptstation-to-openroads-designer---sight-visibility-tools-workflow#

I am trying to export my file from OpenRoads to Rhino but everytime we try, the 3D elements are not correctly exported. The file becomes 2-D. We have tried various types of files type, converting to b-spline surface, and all doesn't work. The issue seems to be that when we export from ConceptStation, everything gets converted to extended elements. We turned everything into mesh itself, and tried to convert the mesh to a solid and volume, but nothing work. Has anyone else encountered this problem and how did you solve it?

Parametric constraints / transition

Hi,
