I have an alignment laid out for a shared use path I am designing. There are several "breaks" or "discontinuations" along the path due to intersections and crossings. I would like to have one profile associated to this alignment, but the grading for the actual path is broken up in multiple segments. Is there a way to complex the profile so all segments are just one entire profile? Hopefully I explained my question well enough for someone to help. Thanks!

End Conditions - Slope to Grade except where there are Special ditches in Profile

I've drawn special ditches in my drainage profile using vertical point controls in my corridor to control the ditch bottom. I want the template to draw a simple slope to grade anywhere there isn't a special ditch in the profile. However, since neither condition 'fails' as the first priority, a cannot get it to work. Any suggestions?

1. If I use the slope to grade as the top priority, the special ditch doesn't draw the ditch on the left. The right is correct.

2. If I set the ditch as the top priority, The ditch draws correctly on the left, but also adds a ditch on the right where I want the slope to grade.

I have a 14,000' alignment that I'm cutting plan sheets for. If I create named boundaries for the entire alignment a one time with a set length (500') the match line annotations will work correctly. The problem I have is that all my sheets can't be 500'. I want to avoid putting match line in the middle of an intersection or short bridge. In these instances, I want to adjust the named boundary lengths so that these features end up on a single sheet.

I've tried manually adjusting the named boundaries however the match lines remain in their original locations (stations remain unchanged).

I've tried deleting the named boundaries starting the first that needed modification and recreating them adding to the existing named boundary plan group. Even though the named boundaries are all within the same group, the match lines only seem to work on the boundaries that were created in the same step.

For example, if I create 20 (500' long) boundaries along an alignment but need to adjust boundary 13 due to a bridge split between boundary 13 and 14. I would delete boundaries 13 through 20, then create a new shorter (300' long) boundary 13 in the same named boundary plan group as 1 through 12. I'd then recreate boundaries 14 through 20 using the same 500' length. When the sheet are generated and annotated the match lines will work on sheet 1 through 12. The match lines on Sheet 13 won't work even though the named boundary used to create it is in the same plan group as the others. The match lines annotations will also work on sheets 14 through 20.

Is there any way to get OpenRoads to recognize all 20 as a continuous group?

Many thanks in advance.

how to apply Slope/camber of MCW to civil cell in Open road designer

Will creating civil cell for turn lane we apply normal slope i.e -2.5 or -2.0%.

I am having an issue with a Text Favorite updating within an SU Annotation. In short, the favorite is assigned to the feature name which in turn is the Drainage Structure Number. The text favorite within the cell updates for both a "Place Label" scenario using only a Text Favorite (white annotations as shown in the image) and also a "Place Label" scenario when using the annotation cell. However, the Text Favorite will NOT update with automatic annotation when I annotate the model (blue "bubble" annotations; and yes, the cell is placed within the annotation group for these particular inlets as shown in the attached image. The cell "bubble" places as is shown in the image, but it does not update the structure number. One can also see from the image that the text favorite does indeed work.

Could someone PLEASE let me know what is going on here? This issue is driving me crazy as I have tested just about every possibility as to why it is not updating automatically!

Two different Geometry projects. Is there a way to do this without losing the vertical geometry? I am able to Simplify the geometry down to the base elements in the profile, then delete all the segments before the Break point then re-complex. Then I am able to break down the horizontal and do the same to the base elements but that disassociates the Profile from the new Complex Horizontal geometry. Everything I do seems to mess-up the Vertical geometry. I have tried Trimming the horizontal and vertical but that messes up the vertical Stationing.
