Hope someone can help me with this. Because I'm not quite seeing the full picture.

Where do I define the Rules Engine's default version string: XYY.ZZ...???

According to the document "ProjectWise Rules Engine Guide_v2.docx" I can have the Rules Engine control the versioning of documents in PW, by using the action type "CHANGE_REV_NO".

The default version string is: XYY.ZZ
X = prefix letter
YY = Major numerical revision
ZZ = Minor numerical revision

But where do I, for example, define the prefix letter (X)..??

Would it be possible to add an 'Admin Override' option to the 'Set-PWDocumentState' command in PW PowerShell?. This option should only be useable by members of the Administrator group or by using a '-AdminOverride' option

When this function is used on an object managed under the Workflow Rules Engine (WRE) it returns a 58268 error ("Manual change state not allowed. Please use Workflow customization rules to change document state")

Access to this additional option is required for system Administrators to fix problems with WRE where on occasion the rule action times-out and the file is left in the wrong state. This can be caused by a number of things such as large/corrupt files or even a slow network connection.

I know this can be achieved by editing the database entries but I need a managed function that can be configured to achieve the result in a consistent and controlled manner.

ProjectWise 10.00.03.167

Windows 10 OS

Office365 with latest 11/22 update

Has anyone encountered opening a Excel file from ProjectWise and it launches Excel however takes to you the Home location (Screenshot below)?

If you click on blank document it opens a blank document and the file that was launched from ProjectWise.

No user association set... global user association for excel integration works for most and not for others.

Integration is enable.

We do not want to force opening worksheet since the check in dialog does not show after closing the file.

went through the steps in this link below however after deleting the curver it takes me to the worksheet and no check in dialog is presented. I ran a repair and back to the state of opening to the home location of Excel: https://communities.bentley.com/products/projectwise/content_management/w/wiki/7780/blank-word-document-or-excel-sheet-opens-with-projectwise-office-integration

Thanks,
