ORD Drawing Production - Cross Sections - Is there a way to visualize plan view location when reviewing the cross section drawing models? (I'm using CE 10.11)

In the past with active chain control, and in the SS10 version of the modeling cross section navigator, and in the dynamic XS, there is an indicator in the plan view that shows the location of the current cross section. I do not see this in the ORD Cross Section Navigator when navigating the cross section drawing models. Did that go away? Is there a toggle I am missing?

What causes spontaneous attachment of files into the 3D model only of a corridor file?

I'm still working in SS10 and recently added the Civil configuration variables to a client's configuration. I create a 2D design file for a corridor, then attach a Civil terrain file (created in a 3D seed file) and an Civil alignment file (2D seed file with 3D model created when profiles added). After I create a corridor, multiple instances (eventually 20+) of the alignment dgn file get spontaneously attached to the 3D model within the corridor file. I have never seen this before. Is there a variable that causes files to automatically be attached? Any ideas what might be causing this? (Power GEOPAK SS10 version 08.11.09.918)

[OR] Corridor objects/Template drop - enhancement

Hi,

Can we have "Synchronize with library" button under Corridor objects/Template drop please? Ideally working with multi select. At the moment, the only way to update multiple template drops is to select them all in 2D model and click "Synchronize with library" from context menu. It's time consuming.

Or I am missing something and there is a more efficient way to synchronize multiple template drops at once?

How can I get rid of stray lines in the cross sections at template transitions?

I am trying to use 2 templates in my geopak SS3 corridor. When I insert my second template, I see stray lines in my dynamic cross sections. These may be related to the transition between the two templates, but I am trying to insert my second template without a transition. I don't know how to control if and how the templates connect as there doesn't seem to be a transition inserted anywhere when I review my Corridor Objects.

Are there any tutorials about template transitions in SS3?

In this figure I have only a single template drop

This figure is the same station as above, but after I have inserted a second template drop 1ft beyond this station. I indicated 0 minimum transition distance.

WHay do I get an extra vertex causing the profile to turn back on itself when using the best Fit profile tool?

I'm working in GEOPAK SS4 08.11.09.878. When I use the Profile Best Fit Tool, I regularly get a best fit profile that doubles back on itself. I seem to be able to fix it by deleting that extra VPI.

CIVIL_XIN_FILE configuration

I’m a user of Powercivil (fP) 08.11.09.878. I have problem with CIVIL_XIN_FILE configuration.

I have already changed hundred times the path to my XIN. Unfortunately powercivil changes access to my xin into default XIN.

Yes, I saved ufc file.

Any idea?

I am not getting super elevation handlers anymore, I can only see the color shaded fill shapes but no annotation of my stationing or cross slopes.

SS4 Point Controls becoming un-editable

We've been having a problem lately in which we get to a point where we can't add additional point controls. This seems to occur most often after superelevation has been assigned. New point controls can't be added, and existing point controls are more likely to become corrupted if they are edited. Has anybody else noticed such a problem?

Stripping component "Alternate Bottom Surface" does not get created.

I am running PowerGeopak SS4 version 08.11.09.872. I have included an "Alternate Bottom Surface" in the definition of my stripping component, and then selected "Create Corridor Alternate Surfaces", and I do not get an alternate surface for my stripping component.

How can I troubleshoot a tin that won't import into a terrain model?

Using Power GEOPAK SS4 08.11.09.872 on Windows 10.

When using the terrain model create from file command, my tin won't import - starts "processing" and never finishes. A different (and larger) tin imports in seconds. I can use the old dtm tools to visualize the tin, and my workaround is to load the tin triangles and tin hull and create a terrain model from those elements. I can use the terrain model properties to control how the terrain model is visualized, though I can't assign a feature definition to the terrain model created in this way.

I presume there is something wrong with the tin file but am not sure what to look for.

Is there a way to turn the component fill off for Openroads templates?

For creating printable documentation, I'd like to be able to turn the component fill off - for illustrating templates in particular.

I use GEOPAK. In SS2 we generated the .xin file from the ddb file. Inside the .xin file we could set the variable filled= "0" or filled="1". With this information being stored via feature definitions in the dgnlib, is there still control over visualizing components as filled or not?
