Place Stair tool

I find that if I mirror/copy a stair, the stair numbering comes out correct in the mirror copy.

If the stair is in a reference and I mirror/copy the reference, then the stair numbering gets mirrored which I obviously don't want...

Anyone come across that problem already?

Modify concrete column

I am using Modify Structural Attributes to change the length of a concrete column. When I apply the new length value, I get the message "1 element changed" but the length has not been changed... Any ideas?

Stair Landing

The tread/riser finish pieces are taken away from the initial stair - should come on top of substrate... This means right now the landing concrete is level with the finish of last tread... Any workaround?communities.bentley.com/.../StairLanding.pdf

ABD in managed PWise

How can I configure ABD so that it runs as administrator when I open a document in ProjectWise managed workspace?
Even when I force ABD to run locally as administrator (shortcut settings), when I open a document in PW I still get the message "lock pages in memory not allowed for that user etc etc"... although every local user is included in the lock pages in memory settings...

BBES does not launch when loading Electrical module

Loading the Electrical module within ABD SS5 v 747, I get this error message : unable to launch Ole-Server - BBES.OLE

Thereafter can't register the file as an electrical design file although the "BBES Database Server - UK" window is opened...

No idea what causes this... Anyone out there?

Any duct/conduit hangers in AECOsim building Designer v 747?

What is going on when MicroStation Visibility Calculator runs?

I have a file with no elements and one ref with some geometry (actually a dwg of 25 MB).

I create a BV and place it as separate Model in the same file.

I open ABDss4 and the file with default Model, the 3d. Takes some 30 seconds.

I then use Models dialog to open a Model with a plan BV.

I takes about 9 seconds and I get all geometry displayed on screen.

BUT I can't do anything for more than 20 seconds more!?

First Mesage Center says - Processing MicroStation Visibility Calculator

Then

MicroStation Visibility Calculator took longer than expected! (23.5 seconds)

and I can start working.

What is going on and why can't I start working after the 9 seconds when I see all geometry?

Floor Plans by floor/floor set

Wondering if any progress on resolving the issue of floor rotation not being picked up by those tools...

Seems like we're still stuck on the default BASE ACS no matter what...

Right-clicking on the clip boundary or the view boundary gives the option of Align View to Clip.

What would be good is to have Align Clip to View.

Also if you modify the clip volume for any reason then the view will automatically align to the new clip... which you don't always want.

In the screenshot I've shown the auxiliary ACS (that of the view - I had to update the initial plan view saved by the Floor Plan by Floor tool which would have defaultd to the clip orientation), while the clip aligns to the BASE ACS...

Menu Bar Customization

In File/Menu/Export, does anyone knows which interface library loads the "IFC" item... Can't find it in the customization dialog box somehow, although it shows in the menu...
