Connection Client 11.0.2.18 Not Working

Good Morning,

I just updated the Connection Client to the last update (11.0.2.18) and it is not working, please see image below. With previous version, everything works fine.

Basically, the connection client is not signing in. Is it just a my problem?

I tried to close the "Bentley.Connect.Client for Windows" and "Bentley.Licesing.Service for Windows" Tasks, is there any other solution besides restore the previous version?

If the licenses are checked through the connection client and the client fails, how can I work? I mean, if I'm not signing in I can't use any Bentley software and basically I can't work and I don't think this is possible.

OpenPlant - Additional Licenses

Good Afternoon,

while installing OpenPlant Modeler v10.14.1.4, I noticed that two Technology Preview Features are available, OpenPlant Support Engineering and Raceway And Cable Management.

Do they require addiional license?

Are there other features included in OpenPlant that require additional license (e.g. Clash Detection)?

[MICROSTATION CONNECT] Bug: Level Description Change When Change Override Properties

Hello Everyone,

I would like to report a bug that came out in MicroStation Connect v10.9.0.24.

When I select all the levels, for change the override properties in massive way, all the level's description are overwritten except for the first level selected. It seems like the levels selected acquire the description of the first level selected (if I select the element using the "drag" selection) or the first level in the list if I use the "CTRL+A" selection.

I think this is a bug, let me know if you are able to reproduce this behavior or if this is just my problem.

CONNECT Advisor is annoying. I don't know what it does, but it persists in loading itself automatically. I've told it not to do that...

Disable Bentley Connect Advisor

Hi everyone,

is it possible to disable the Bentley Connect Advisor when I start MicroStation, or better, forever?

I already disable the option "Launch CONNECT Advisor on startup", but it keeps popping up and it is really annoying.

I am using MicroStation CE v10.12.0.40 and Bentley View CE and v8i and I have the same problem on all 3 software.

[CONNECT U12] (Technology Preview) Expression - Lookup Tables

Hello everyone,

Reading the online documentation about Expression, there is this phrase:

"Lookup tables are lists of data that are associated with a field in your project database, usually in excel format".

Exactly what does it means? Is there or will it be possibile to associate another type of file instead of an excel file?
If yes,what type of file?

[MICROSTATION CONNECT] Problem Export Sheets from .dgn to .dwg

Hello Everyone,

I would like to report a problem that came out in MicroStation Connect v10.9.0.24.

I have a .dgn file with 1 design model and 3 sheets completely identical that contain the master model attached as a reference. In this file I imported the AutoCad Line Style and setted the lines scale.

When I do the export in .dwg everythings works fine, except for the fact that when I open the .dwg file with an Autodesk application (AutoCad, DWG TrueView, ecc.) I see the correct line scale only on the first sheet exported while on the other 2 sheets I see a incorrect line scale (Please refer to the file attached SHEET_PROBLEM.dwg).

But if I do the export 1 sheet per time (master model + sheet, not export sheet as separate file) I see every single sheet perfectly (for i.e. see the file Sheet_2.dwg where I exported only sheet 2).

It seems like the export works fine only if I export 1 sheet per time.

I think this is a bug, let me know if you are able to reproduce this behavior or if this is just my problem.

Property driven annotation connected to an element in a reference file.

Hello Everyone,

I have a 3D model with cells connected to item types.
My need is to show these properties on drawing, so I create a property driven annotation (label cell whit text fields connected to an item type properties).
Everything works fine in the design model, but when I place this file as a reference (in a sheet, for example) I'm not able to connect labels to the elements.

Now, my question is:

is possible to "attach" a property driven annotation to an element contained in a reference file and show the element property inside the label?
