ORD - Civil Cell problems when creating roundabouts

Hello,

I am trying to create a roundabout using the civil cells. However after going through the process of selecting the primary and secondary alignments, the cell and associated corridor and alignments are generated miles away from the intended location.

Dont know whether its a clitch in the software or if I am doing something wrong. Attached is an image illustrating the problem. I am using version 10.9.0.91

Do you exchange the reference in the Plan Drawing Model and come across a clipping issue in the Plan Design Model?

Major alterations to alignments and geometry

I've been learning the alignment (horizontal and vertical) and geometry tools, creating useful relationships to enable easy changes later.

The only thing I'm unsure about is the approach to making major changes to alignments and geometry.

I know you can make some changes with the existing elements and there is the insert vertex tool but if I need to add in or replace elements in the middle of an alignment to make major changes how should this be done?

I could drop the complex element using the Microstation tool and then make the changes but then I break all the geometric relationships based on this alignment e.g. channel geometry. There is a similar issue with general geometry too as I assume there isn't a way to re-establish relationships for geometry after it's created e.g. need to replace the alignment which breaks the offset to the channels, replace the channel geometry and the relationship to other geometry is broken too etc.

As an addition, is it possible to physically move a whole alignment along with the associated elements together e.g. moving a whole pond from one place to another.

GeoCoordination Service Error: Temporary path not accessible

When switching/reopening the dgn, the dgn is losing its iTwin references

Problem:

When switching/reopening the dgn, the dgn is losing its iTwin references.

Solution:

The Variable “MS_DISALLOWFULLREFPATH” needs to be undefined to fix the issue.

When this variable is set to 1, OpenRoads Designer does not save the full path to references, and when the file is switched/reopened, the dgn losses its references.

Length of Transition Curve

problem with corridor properties

Hi,

We have a recurring error in the organization which I can't solve, and it always ends up in creating the corridor all over again.

Somehow, I haven't figured how, but the corridor loses its normal properties and is shown like in the image attached.

The corridor doesn't allow to do most of the actions on it.

What causes this problem and what can I do to fix it?

Profile Annotation Not displaying CE 2021 R2

The Dimension Line Annotation in the Annotation Group > Profile > Drawing is defined and Previews properly but it is not displaying in the Actual Profile. The images below show the Annotate With "Dimension setting for Crest vertical Curve is set and previews. I have attempted this in several different workspaces and projects and seems to be consistently not working.

Text Favorite Linear Featur.Name not displaying Name

I am having trouble getting a text favorite to label properly when using OpenRoads CE2021R2. The text favorite is setup as "Linear Fetarure.Name" The Annotation group is setup to label my Edge of pavement points and it is adding a label but the Feature name is displaying as a Station Value i.e. "162+00.00" every time. This is not really the correct stationing it displays as 162+00.00 no matter what section is being annotated. When I place the label manually the Point name is displayed. It includes a prefix of "3D Linear Element:" then the actual name but at least it works.

The same labels work really good when manually labeling point in a Survey Model. But the Drawing model annotation (Annotation Groups) do not (are not) finding the points in the Survey Model.

Profile Shift in Sheet

When working with our typical roadway plan and profile sheets, we sometime have a need to shift the ditch profiles down to be able to clearly show/label them. This is the case when the ditch profile grade is somewhat close in elevation to the proposed profile grade. In V8i, we would achieve this by adjusting the datum elevation of those profiles when we displayed the elements using the D&C Manager. How would one go about accomplishing a similar outcome when using ORD tools? The closest thing I can think of doing is creating a new named boundary specific to that profile, then reference that in by hand after the sheet is created. Once it is in the sheet, I can turn off the existing ground and proposed profile grades/annotation within that reference and then do the inverse for the original profile view. Cumbersome for sure, so I'm hoping there may be a more elegant method that I haven't thought of yet.
