I need help with strange CC behaviour...can't track it down to the source of the problem. I have set of photographs done by drone with GPs positions in meta data.

See below:

CC reads it as WGS and this is what I'm getting:

same as above but converted to OSGB:

My GPS altitiude is set to Sea Level:

Now as you can see Z values are all out of the place...image was taken ca. 53m above ground, CC reads it as 0.6m, OSGB shows -53m and funny thing is that we have GCP which are like:

105,231787.347,718851.868,25.269
106,231783.237,718816.159,25.060
107,231762.916,718828.276,25.457
108,231736.719,718805.632,30.724

So GCP and image Z value are correct but CC seems to have hard times trying to interpret them. This makes GCP totally unusable cos after AT my model is like 30m below GCP and CC fails to match GCP locations with any of the photograph...so after all I'm ending up with 3D model correctly sitting in X,Y but Z is a total abstraction. I checked the same photographs in two Cc versions 4.4.9.516 and 4.4.0.344 and results are the same...

Any idea what is wrong ??.

Slanting section after AT - what is this?
I am setting up our ContextCapture workflow with out new PPK enabled UAV. I am able to get an output but it's not lining up with GCPS or liking the Australian Coordinate Systems (AHD Heights).

Ideally we would fly our mission PPK process the images to be within a cm or 2 process in context and derive our 3D content.

Item 1 Vertical Coordinate system: (RESOLVED)

I'm having some issues creating a custom vertical coordinate system and utilise the more accurate local GEOID model as per the support document and forum posts.

https://communities.bentley.com/products/3d_imaging_and_point_cloud_software/f/contextcapture-descartes-pointools-forum/153294/create-user-defined-system/458045#458045

I have downloaded the appropriate Geoid model(AUSGeoid09_V1.01.gsb). Ausgeoid converts elipsoidal heights to MSL in Australia.

converted it to gtx using the GDAL tools

Added a line for vertcs.csv and can see this in the "override vertical coordinate system"

I was getting the message "This spatial reference system is not adapted to this area" when I try to select "WGS84 and AHD" and the OK button is disabled. NOW RESOLVED this was due to the .gtx file being incorrectly created into a 4 band image.

Now resolved the I Files used:

I'm shopping for a drone for doing mapping and and ortho photos and am looking at the DJI Phantom 4 Pro 2.0 and the new Mavic 2 Pro since they both have 1" sensors. I travel for work and that makes the small size of the Mavic appealing. The fact that the new Mavic also has a Hasselblad camera with a 1" sensor is a plus. However, the Mavic has a rolling electronic shutter which Bentley says isn't supported 'under fast motion'. Does anyone have experience using a camera with a rolling shutter for mapping? Is there a speed / distance-to-subject that constitutes 'fast motion'? We used a DJI phantom 4 pro Drone to take pictures. It has a 13.2 mm sensor size and a focal length of 20 mm. We flew the drone around the building in circle, increasing the altitude as we reach one full circle each time and took around 430 pictures of the places. However everytime when we input the pictures into ContextCapture, one part of the roof will always overlapped with the original building itself in the software as seen in the 3 pictures we uploaded. The part of the roof always end up in a place/position that is out of the initial placing of the roof. Is there any solution to this problem or does anyone have any idea where we went wrong. Does it have something to do with the geographical coordinates or is it to do with user setting eg control points?

I use the same datasets, but it seams there are some differents :

So how to achieve to have the same result ? I tried to clear pose metadata but I never have the same for the begining for the picture, so it is not possible to use point cloud for adjustment.

Can you explain how to do ?

thank,
