As an addendum to my last post, following are instructions for checking out a license via the License Management Tool .

Please check in the license, and check it out again from the License Management Tool. When prompted for child products, choose both the STAAD.Pro and the STAAD US Std Design Codes licenses by selecting them while holding down the Ctrl key.
