Reference clipped elements is printing

I have files where references are clipped using linear element. It appears fine on screen and when creating PDFs, using print organizer, a hidden portion of the clipped reference is printing. I'm using Microstation V8i SS4 08.11.09.832 version.

Can not create custom Detailing symbols in Connect

Detailing symbols are working fine in V8i . Trying to get them to work in Connect. When I go to create them I keep getting and error message

The pull down to attach the cell under the Tail wing populates with nothing from my cell library.

I have these set in my standards.cfg file

MS_DETAILINGSYMBOLS_CELLLIST = $(_USTN_ORGANIZATION)dgnlib/DrawComp/*.cel
MS_DGNLIBLIST_DETAILINGSYMBOLSTYLES = $(_USTN_ORGANIZATION)dgnlib/DrawComp/WWE_DETAILING_SYMBOLS.dgnlib

Ribbon Customization and Tabs

I wanted to add a few more tabs to the Drawing workflow and it was only allowing me to add one.

I created another workflow and was allowed to add more tabs with no problem.

My question is:

Is there a maximum number of tabs you can have under each workflow. It seems to be 12.

Openplant 3D file translated to AutoCAD 3D. The pipes disappear when the operator flat files the file.

I am exporting a OpenPlant model to AutoCAD. When the AutoCAD operator opens it up and flat files it the pipes disappear while the fittings remain. I am not an AutoCAD operator. Is there a setting I can set when I translate it to AutoCAD. I merge all the reference files into one file.

What happened to TFREMOVE? What can I do.

We haven't used Trifroma in 5 or 6 years. I have some old model files that I get the standard "Trifroma has intentionally restricted the changes to this element"

In the past we have been able to use the TFREMOVE command in V8i and it would remove the Triforma restrictions. Not the case anymore.

We really don't want to redraft them, and you can't go download the older versions anymore.

Yes you can drop them, with complex and shared cells check which allows you to move and copy them, but no other manipulation is allowed

Any help would be appreciated

Redirect Connect to our server

I think I got Microstation Connect to redirect to my server. I modified the C:\ProgramData\Bentley\CONNECT Edition\Configuration\WorkSpaceSetup.cfg file to point to

my server which contains the file structure:
K:\WWE Configuration\
K:\WWE Configuration\Organization\
K:\WWE Configuration\WorkSpaces\

It all seems to be working fine. Just curious why I would not put the WorkSpaceSetup.cfg file on my server under K:\WWE Configuration\

and each local machine just put another redirect file, ie ServerRedirect.cfg that contained the simple line: %include K:/WWE Configuration/*.cfg

I tried this second method and it didn't work. It just reverted back to the local area when I tried to create a new WorkSpace. Is the mslocal or msdir stopping this?
Putting a small .cfg file on each computer is the simple way we did it with V8i and it worked perfectly. I have no problem putting the WorkSpaceSetup.cfg on each machine if that what it takes.

We are just starting to migrate over and I want to get this working. Any help would be appreciated.

How do you import a .obj file into MicroStation.

How do you import a .obj file into MicroStation. Using SS2. Do I have to convert it first? I have a bunch of .jpg and a .mtl file in the same directory as the .obj file. I see that others have done it, but I don't see anything under the import feature. Thanks
