Began 1984 "on the boards" in 1984.
First exposure to CAD was observing AutoCAD in use on the PC in 1988.
Then, Govt dept procured $1.5 million of hardware and and training for Intergraph MS on InterAct workstations from 1989
First taught myself AutoCAD in 1990 on IBM AT. Then Microstation on above system (after hours, unofficially) in 1992
Was in-house trained on Interact Workstations in 1993 and migrated onto PC as these devices expired
Moved to AutoCAD as a corporate software c.1994
Formally trained in:
Microstation, AutoCAD, AutoPlant (and Administrator), Aveva PDMS, SolidWorks (Administratror and PDMW), BlueCielo Meridian (and Administrator), ProjectWise (and Administrator) and Civil 3D.
IT coordinator for 7 years. Quality Auditor for 3 years. Site Safety Supervisor for 1 year.
Now back utilising Microstation CE.
