Triangulated error before going to mesh part

Hello!

I have been working on a simplified geometry of a project in Plaxis3D. Now we started the complicated geometry which contains around 50 volumes. after struggling a lot, we could import the geometry. Now we have a problem for going to mesh part:

Intersection faied with this error: TriangulatedFail

The following objects are producing non valid shapes: ....

Could you help us with that. I used different tricks and it is not working!

Bad mesh quality

Hello to all,

I am working with a bit complicated geometry. I have simplified the geometry as much as possible. I have tried different mesh settings but still I have a few cells with very bad quality. How much it might affect the results? Do you have any suggestions to solve the problem?

Error while meshing

Hello,

I am working in a project in Plaxis 3D with complicated geometry. Unfortunately, I have the following error when I want to go mesh part:

Intersection failed with this error: InvalidIntersectionResults
The following objects are producing non valid shapes: Volume_2 Volume_5

Do you know what the reason is?

Importing CAD geometry

Hello,

I am working on a 3D model in Plaxis 3D. The geometry is a bit complicated and I have lots of problems with importing the CAD file. Does drawing units cause problems?

When I change the unit from meter to millimeter, for some 3D solids, Plaxis could recognize the soil volume and for some of them, I still have the same problem. Do you know what the reason is?

Assiging material to a soil volume

Hello,

I am using python scripting to atomize the calculation for a seepage analyses. I imported the soil volume in the structure part using the following python lines:

Volume_1=g_i.import_("structurevolume", r"\\Sestofs010\projekt\25465\13_BERA\PLAXIS-3D\Reyhaneh_test_standpipes\Drawing4_milimtere.dxf")

Soil_1=g_i.soil(Volume_1, "Material", Material3)
g_i.setmaterial(Soil_1,Material3)

It imports the soil volume but it does not assign the material to the volume. Do you know how I can solve it?

Importing a complicated 3D geometry to Plaxis 3D

Hello,

I am importing a complicated part of a geometry to Plaxis 3D. It should be a soil volume and in the DXF format is a 3D solid object. While I am importing that, I faced an error:

It contains no surfaces or volumes.

Advise on this matter!
