I'm a bit confused about the way MsTower depends to determine buckling curve to calculate effective slenderness factor (K) according to TIA-222-G table 4-4

According to Mstower manual P56 " If the number of bolts is not specified MStower will assume that all members are single-bolted except for legs, face bracing, and horizontals that are assumed to have two or more bolts"

In attached summary file there are X Bracing listed with number of bolts nb=2 bu the selected curve is No.4 which correspond with the case of "both ends are unrestrained"( one bolt )

May I get clarification about the calculation logic please

Thanks

I have modeled a tower with one panel configuration of XH1 and discontinuous X bracing (XDISC)

Upon reveiwing the detailed report, the results shows cross brace capacity being checked taking the tension in the other member into consideration and based on that the total length L=L1+L2 checked (paragraph below)

May I get some explanation why total length checked for the discontinuous braing case ?

Thanks in advance
