OpenRoads Sheet Index missing tools

We are currently setting up preference files for our company and we have adopted the ALDOT configuration files and are using them as a base. When trying the sheet index, no tools show up. Does the sheet index have anything to do with ProjectWise? We also have it set up where the work set is locked, could this be an issue?

BEGINNER/NOVICE - Add functionality to an existing VBA

I have very, very little experience with VBA (and the majority of that is in Excel) so please direct me to another page or resources as needed...

I came into my design firm and found a nice VBA which pulls text from Excel and rewrites several tags. It goes into the list of files, rewrites tags, saves and closes out. While it's in the file writing the tags, I thought it would be nice if it would also turn on/off levels based on text it's reading from the same spreadsheet.

I tried inserting the code found here for RefLevelOnExample() within the existing sub.

So it ended up being structured as so:

Dim *stuff to get data from spreadsheet

Change_Tag
Next I

I'm leaving out a lot of details but hopefully what I'm saying conceptually comes through. I'm trying to shoehorn the Level_On sub within the Change_Tag. Obviously it doesn't work or I wouldn't be here :(

Is there a concept or method of building subroutines that I should heed? Are there any beginner tutorials out there that helped you guys who are not trained coders?

Basic End Condition Troubleshooting

I have created a template with a basic cut/fill end condition. I ran it on the mainline - everything is fine. I created a new file with a new alignment and profile, added the exact same template - the end condition does not draw or go the active terrain. I'd appreciate a basic troubleshooting method to help me figure this out. I've tried replacing the end conditions with other similar ones, creating a whole new template, attaching other templates, readding the active terrain, it just will never get past the shoulder hinge and draw the end condition.

Any ideas? Google has given me all the advanced stuff but I think I need some fundamental help. Thanks in advance!
