I was able to add instance data to one of the solids, but if I try to add to any of the other solids I get an "instance data already attached to model" warning.

If you edit the data it changes the data of the first solid then add nothing to the other solid that I try to add data for.

any clues?

placement of lines, arcs or 3D objects..within a 3d file, but not displaying whilst positioning

I have a problem that my vendor nor Bentley support are able to resolve apparently.

I have a 3d MICROSTATION FILE which does not display whilst placing any 2d elements or 3d objects into the view, but displays the final result. In effect working blind. I know it must be a setting somewhere, but after 30 hours of looking, I give up.

The other issue I have is snapping to objects created by building designer and referenced into microstation. I cannot snap to edges or corners or faces of the referenced models, only to the centre of mass. which makes measurement between solids in the file and referenced solids impossible.
