After drawing something using dimension-driven design (DDD) tools, is it possible to copy only the geometry (without the constructions), paste it, and then remove all DDD links/bindings/evidence from the pasted "thing?" The issue I'm having is when you go to dimension the pasted geometry, a message appears saying "Fixed Point Constraint required before placing constraint dimensions."

I don't want the pasted geometry to be DDD, nor look for fixed points because it was once a DDD. The reason being is because it may be easier to draw some things using DDD, but I'm willing to bet the vast majority of co-workers of mine either don't know it exists or how to work it, so I'd like it to be as easy for them as a normal drawing would be if someone else were to go in and edit it.

Thanks for the help!

REPLICATION:

1-4) Fully constrain construction lines.

1) Draw 4 lines in a number sign/"hashtag" formation.

2) [Constrain Elements] so there are 2 vertical and 2 horizontal lines, converting the lines to constructions.

3) [Constrain Points At] each intersection and make one of those a [Fixed Point]

4) Dimension the length and width to fully constrain the construction. (I guess it's an unnecessary step for the example, but good practice.)

5) [Attach Line String or Shape] connecting the dots and forming a rectangle.

6) Copy and Paste the rectangle only. Dimensioning this second rectangle will give an error I don't want.

Practically, I'll be using DDD in a dummy file and pasting the geometry into a live file everyone else will see, which is why I would like to do it this way. Even if I were to delete all the construction lines and points from the original rectangle, I would get the error message there, too.
