Even though rail engineers prefer to place turnouts and crossovers on straights, there are many situations where this is simply not possible.

So, when it is necessary to place turnouts or crossovers in a curve with cant, OpenRail Designer can handle this situation - even vertically! You can even design the turnout in such a way it can automatically update when main line design changes.

During this session, we will show:

How to place turnouts in the curve

How to connect turnouts using Geometry Connector

How to create the profile of the crossover at lower rail elevation

How to create cant along the crossover with adverse cant

OpenRail Coffee Corners are open to all Bentley users, free of charge. One learning unit is applied to each participant’s Bentley Transcript for self-reporting.
I've created an iModel (.i.dgn format) from adgn containing only a STM and 2 attached rasters. Raster are draped to STM as you can see in the capture:

But when I open the iModel in Navigator the draped image has dissapeared:

I've tested both with "Keep Original" and "Reduce Size" in Raster Settings

OpenRail 10.03.03.18

Navigator 08.11.09.713

Any ideas?

Ask A Question I

Ask a question in a forum.
