[Field Book 1] Properties palette is not coming up

Does anyone know why my [Field Book 1] Properties palette is not coming up when right clicking and releasing on Properties -

on the Project Explorer - Survey tab - Field Books. I've created a new field book which defaults to Field Book 1 and I'm trying to rename it.

Nothing happens - no error - nothing.

Defaulting to a specific TIW file

How can I tell Geopak Civil 08.11.09.608 to use a particular tiw file? I've created one and have it in / and looking for the proper directory but I still seem to have to 'open' it each time I import field files. Can't I have it default to a particular tiw file?

Coding a workspace in the MS desktop executable

I have several desktop icons that invoke Microstation in a couple of ways (i.e. either stand alone or with Geopak Civil suite etc).

I would also like to add a preferred ucf / workspace to these.

The following is the target description for one such icon:

"C:\Program Files (x86)\Bentley\MicroStation V8i (SELECTseries)\MicroStation\ustation.exe" -wsLoad_GEOPAK_SS3=1

How would I add that I want to use the mycompany.ucf and mycompany interface?

How would I add that I want to use the mycompany.ucf, myproject.pcf and mycompany interface?

Geopak Survey Data Import Annotative Cell

We are currently running gkste 081109726 and are using both the Geopak Survey and the Civil Survey methods to bring in field collected data. Both have their benefits. Just wondering, will Bentley continue to support Geopak Survey or is the plan to migrate away from it altogether?

If they continue to support Geopak Survey, will they try to allow for importing annotative cells in the future? Before I attempt to customize and hammer down a procedure using the Geopak Survey, I'd like to know it won't be in vain.

If they are going to do away with it, what is the time-frame?

Geopak Survey SS2 tin boundary

We have Geopak Survey 081107246

I have been wondering for some time now, does a tin boundary (to be extracted by graphics) HAVE to be at the 'proper' elevation to work? I seem to remember in earlier versions that the boundary could be at elevation 0 and work. Now when I use a 0 elevation boundary, the tins build all the way down to the 0 elevation. Am i missing something? For a large aerial points and breakline file, it is not feasible to place a boundary shape by snapping to the elevation of the edges of the DTM.

Can't seem to get the field descriptions to show when importing points in OpenRoads SS3

I am currently using Geopak Suite 08.11.09.726 with MicroStation 08.11.09.608. I've set the Survey Settings File Parsing Description Separator and am using an ASCII comma delimited text file. I have been doing this without problem for several years in Geopak Survey SS2 - with the smd and other settings.

How to "Visualize" Points using SS3

I am currently using Geopak Suite 08.11.09.726 with MicroStation 08.11.09.608. Our procedure with Geopak Survey SS2 is/was to import points into one catch-all file and then 'visualize' specific imported points into separate files for manipulating. Is there a similar / parallel way to do that in Geopak SS3?
