I have an issue when doing vertical regression. Whenever I create a vertical regression line I most often miss out on vertical regression points in the profile window. The results alter from time to time but most of the time some are missing and I'm not sure what setting affects this.

The workflow I have been using for the example below is as follows: imported points from reference, created a regression line, created lines/arcs with single horizontal regression, created a complex element from all elements, complex spiral between to connect lines and circulars with spirals. At this point I'm trying to create a profile with vertical regression points using the complex geometry and the previously created regression line. This results in most of the vertical regression points not being displayed in the profile window. Please see the screen capture below:

I want to know why this happens and what I can do to get all vertical regression points in the profile.

I am using the terrain and points from the example/training. The version is OpenRail Designer 2021 R2.

Sincerely

John A.

I have some difficulties getting the side slope annotation to behave as I want. I am not sure if I have set it up poorly or if I am using the tool it the wrong way. I am using OpenRoads Designer 2020 R3.

If I remove any intermediate points and have the target in the same component as the source I get the side slope annotation as I want but not when I have them in separate components with points in between. I have a hard time explaining this so I took a few screenshots that can be seen below of the different template drops and the different results.

The first example, with this template I get the side slopes as I want:

The second example, here I only get side slopes on the outer slopes in the cut section:

Is there some workaround or have I set up the side slope annotation incorrectly? I am happy to add any other screenshots or files needed to evaluate why it's not showing correctly.

Regards,

I would like to change the terminator type of an existing dimension. The dimension lines have been placed with terminator arrows and I would like to change them to another style for example a filled dot. How can I accompish this? I am only aware of how to chose this when creating them and would like to know if there's a way of changing existing ones.

I am using Microstation CE 15.

For example from this style:

To this:
