In my template I am proposing a 1:4 slope on the outside. Sometimes the slope touches down before the subbase daylight, see image below. Is there a way that in this situation I can force my slope to extend to the subbase daylight point which the slope will vary from 1:4 and when the slope at 1:4 touches down beyond the subbase daylight it would place the 1:4 as my template dictates. I know I can use parametric constraints in this situation but it will not meet at exactly the daylight point which really doesn't matter but I just want to know if there is a trick in the template that will do what I described.

I've managed to delete all the pieces of DTM's from each day, and have the one final DTM.

I have made several edits, like deleting triangles along the edge and adding some features.

I played with the Contour interval to locate rod busts.

Certain editing commands, or maybe toggling on and off triangles have caused my edits to revert.

I have no more Fieldbooks, they have been "STRIPED", yet my edits are not always being held.

Why?

Should I export to Land XML and re-import, then work on this surface?

I have toggled the "de-activate rules" back and forth to see if this is the problem.

Are my edits becoming "rules".

I am trying to drape an image to an SS3 terrain model. I am using the workshop files for "OpenRoads Quickstart - Roadway Modeling".

The raster is named MeadowPark.tif
The CAD file I am using for testing is "North St.-Corridor-Metric.dgn"
I have assigned dcdrape to the terrain triangles in our dgnlib. When I drape the raster to the referenced terrain model, the raster is scaled approx. 50% and repeated in X and Y directions. I have started altering the .xin file for the codes, but I am having trouble with getting symbols in and getting the linework on the correct level.
Feature Definition = New Conflict - this FD uses a single 3D cell for presentation of the found conflict

Feature Definition = Borepit Needed - this FD uses a top and bottom 3D cell.

The problem - when a feature definition comprised of a single 3D cell is used in combination with the selection of a surface in the Conflict Detection toolbox, the elevations assigned to the conflict node are incorrect and the node is drawn at the ground elevation instead of at the elevation of the found conflict.

The workaround - Always use a conflict node feature definition which has two cells assigned, such as the supplied Borepit Needed.

[Geopak] [OR] Showing ROW lines in dynamic cross sections

I represent ROW lines on cross sections using ancillary features, but this can be done only on permanent cross sections, and it has to be re-run every time I cut permanent cross sections.

I am working on PowerCivil SS4, with limited to fair previous SS2 InRoads experience. I am hitting a wall when it comes to symbologies and plan production. I have spent some time working through the various Wiki's and videos available and have carried out the following workflow:

Created a library for local feature definitions, eg "Test.dgnlib"

Opened this dgnlib and linked an InRoads company .xin file by loading the .xin file in the Inroads window, going to Civil Standards > rt click Feature Definitions > Link Active Feature Styles.

Opened another PowerCivil dgn and configured the workspace to include the "Test.dgnlib" by going to Workspace > Configuration > CIVIL_CONTENTMANAGEMENTDGNLIBLIST > Edit > Append > added link to the test dgnlib in the workspace using a wildcard *.dgnlib

The results have been that I can now see the "Test.dgnlib" from any PowerCivil dgn that I open and access the feature definitions, however, none of the symbology comes through, it only appears as a white line, unless I reload the original .xin file into the InRoads window of the .dgn that I am working in. I understand that linking to a .xin file from a normal dgn only creates the link so that you can see the features in the xin file, and doesn't store the symbologies in the dgn. However, I thought that linking to a .xin file from your dgnlib was the answer to that "storage" problem, otherwise what is the point of creating a dgnlib?

Am I misunderstanding the concept of the dgnlib or is there something missing from my workflow?

Thanks

Matthew

I am able to get the border in there (including major and minor gridlines), I am just having trouble getting the elevation numbers to extend all the way to the top where they fit in the designated spot. The "Window Clearance" setting can be used, but it only properly affects the cross sections which go to a certain elevation (for example, if the window clearance is set to '30' to make the 'Station 97' (max elevation of 670) elevation numbers to fit properly, but then with the same window clearance set to '30', 'Station 100' (max elevation of 675) elevation numbers go 5 units higher than they are supposed to go.

I understand that I am able to put the elevation numbers into the reference border, but if I did this, the cross section elevations would not correlate with the border elevations properly.

For the civil cell, I have lines that are constructed as offsets from the alignments. I'm constraining these offsets to begin at the intersection (using intersection snap) and run, say, 400 feet down each leg. Everything seems to behave quite well. I create the civil cell.

I go into another file, where there are real intersections. I place the civil cell. It looks like it's working, but when I switch the direction of one alignment or another, especially multiple times for each alignment, the elements in the civil cell start breaking and it won't work even if I change the direction on each alignment back to the original.
