Corridor Objects - point control stationing is not showing template drop stationing

I have a corridor with a number of template drops. I have updated a template to include point control. The difficulty I have is finding the template drop in the point control window.

Using the Corridor Objects tool, the template drop window shows the stationing of the template drops, but the point control window shows the start and end of the alignment for every line.

Why doesn't the point control start and end station show the same stationing as the template drops or the name of the template?

Template stationing difference between ORD and iTwin

I have run some templates in ORD (2022 R1) and imported the model into iTwin. The start and end station defined in ORD is different to the station shown in the iTwin properties.

The alignment starts at 54m. The templates in ORD are correct, but in iTwin, the distance is being measured from 0m which is why I'm seeing a 54m shift.

Is there any way to correct this so that the template stationing is correct in iTwin?

Snappable corridor element

I want to create templates drops graphically by snapping them to the corridor from a reference, but the corridor says "Element is not snappable"

although the corridor properties show that snappable is set.

Does anyone else have this problem?

Project to Design workaround in Template

I'm trying to project the Red marked points to the blue marked points in Template. My Tunnel Centre line can go up or down hence the line should be projected to the nearest tunnel surface.

Please suggest a workaround for this.

I've also attached my template library file in the Secure link for reference. Requesting someone to please go through the file and suggest for any solution.

Change all model names with one key-in script

I want to change all model names (multiple different names) to their respective file names, how can I do this with a key-in script? I've tired wildcards to no avail.

e.g

$ model rename .* $(basename(_DGNFILE))

$ model rename * $(basename(_DGNFILE))

Deliverables Manager - Option to send actual files or links to files

Hi. When sending a transmittal in DM I would like to be able to choose between sending the actual file or a ProjectWise link to the file or a document set.

We are using a shared CDE with another company and would like to use DM to share links to files and have an audit trail of when these were transmitted between the design companies. Sending the actual files via DM is unnecessary as we are working in the same CDE. It would be ideal to be able to send a link to a file or to a doc set.

The ability to choose between sending a link to a file or the actual file would also be required if we needed to send the actual files externally.

Is this possible?

( I've seen this post and the reply although my question is slightly different deliverables manager - addition of projectwise links only )

Add or display additional terrain models to a profile window

Is it possible to display more than one terrain model in a profile window?

I have several terrain models referenced and I can toggle them as active so that they display in the profile window, but I can't see how to display more than one at a time.

Is there a way to add additional terrain models to the profile window?

OpenRail Designer 2022 R1

ORD cant report is slow to produce

I have an alignment of 150km with cant.

If I try and report the cant in ORD (Release 2022R1) it takes over 10 minutes.

If I report the cant for the same alignment in PRT, the report is almost instant.

What is going on and is there any way I can improve the reporting speed in ORD?

Event Point report including description

I have imported several groups of horizontal event points such as viaduct start and endpoints. The points include their point description. I would like to report Station, Easting, Northing and the point description but the "Horizontal Alignment Event Point List Report" doesn't have a column for description.

Is it possible to report the description?

The Report - Style Sheet Help says I need to enable the Event Points option to get complete results. Does anyone know how to enable and will this give me the point description?

I'm using OpenRail CE 2022 R1

Simple way to get started with OpenRoads Designer SDK

It seems that a lot of users have trouble getting started with the OpenRoads Designer SDK. Especially when they are trying to use it inside Visual Studio. So I thought I would make a quick video which shows how I have setup my Visual Studio to use the examples that come with the ORD SDK.

This video will go over:

Creating a startup script to run Visual Studio so it "finds" ORD.
Compiling the examples.
Running the examples inside ORD.
Debugging the examples.
and making changes while ORD is running.

The method in this video is not the only way to do this and might not even be the best way, but it is simple and effective.

For reference here is the script that was used in the video. Please note that this will likely not work without changes on your own machine:
