When we design steel structures using Indian standard IS 800, If Design parameters of SEISMIC as per Section 12 of IS 800 will be checked as follows:

At the same time, Response spectrum analysis had already been performed in model.

But after Run Analysis, some warning and note indicated in Output as follows:

We don't understand why software mentioned Seismic definition unavailable? can you supply some solution to eliminate these warning and note in Output?

Regarding Ductile design of RCC columns using RCDC, We have some questions as follows:

As per the relevant clauses of IS 13920 (2016), Two types of ‘Joint checks’ have been introduced. They are – 1)
Relative Moment Strength at Joint, 2) Shear check at joint. RCDC checks for both in the ‘Column’ module. The
detailed calculation report for the same is available separately as well as for each column.

1. Relative Moment Strength – In this check ‘Moment Capacity of Column’ is compared with ‘Moment
Capacity of Beams’ framing into the same. For this check, RCDC reads end-forces of beams connected
to the columns. For the governing moment, it calculates Ast-required and details the top and bottom
reinforcement. This reinforcement is further used to perform this check. The same method is being
used already for ‘Shear capacity check of columns’.

2. Joint Shear Check- In this check the shear demand at joint is calculated as per below fig,

As per the above, we confuse how to adjust the reinforcement of beams when beam-column joints failing.

Regards

when we design steel structure frame with vertical braces using Staad pro. based on Indian standard (IS 800), how to get the effective length coefficient of steel column? As we all know, it is very important for the design of steel columns using reasonable effective length.

When we use RCDC to calculate stirrup rebar of concrete Girder as per IS 13920-2016 when considering Ductile design, RCDC don't consider shear strength of concrete (Vc=0) as follows:

But as per Clause 9.1 of IS 13920-2016, we should consider shear strength of concrete when calculating stirrup rebar of Girder, so we just want to know why RCDC consider Vc=0 when considering Ductile design?
