I don't have much experience with item types and zero experience with expressions, but hoping to figure something out to speed things up. Just as an example I was hoping to get an item type setup for a curb and gutter line that would provide the following information:

Reference Alignment - allow me to select the alignment that the curb and gutter is based on

Start Station - have ORD automatically get the end station of the line based on the referenced alignment

End Station - have ORD automatically get the end station of the line based on the referenced alignment

Side - which side of alignment

Length - I've figured this one out from other forums

The idea would be then to run this item type to a table for each alignment to use on quantity sheets. If anyone has any experience or ideas how to create the expressions to do this I'd greatly appreciate any input.

Thanks

Ask A Question I

Ask a question in a forum.
