Hi,

Is there a different definition for cohesion and friction angle during cyclic loading?

Since cyclic loading on soil differs from static loading, do we need to use separate cohesion and friction angle values during constitutive and numerical modelling

Anyone knows the difference between the 2 calculation types, "Dynamic" and Dynamic with consolidation"?

Also, can I know the practical situations where we need to above mention two types of calculations?

Soft soil model PLAXIS code

I need to alter the soft soil model using my own constitutive model and use the new model as a user-defined model. How can I obtain the PLAXIS model code to conduct the necessary alternations?

Surcharge preloading

I have modelled a train embankment on the surcharge preloaded the subgrade. Surcharge preloading was applied through a line load and consolidated up to DOC of 90%. Then the surcharge load was removed.
But as soon as I remove the applied surcharge load, I observe suction pressure as my excess pore pressure results.
Does anyone know the reason for the issue?

Dynamic Pore pressures

Hi,

I am modelling a largescale oedometer(like) setup with dynamic loading.

I have tried different soil models (soft soil,MCC, Hardening,HS small etc) to simulate the dynamic behaviour but unable to produce the excess pore pressure accumulation.

Excess pore pressure is always a suction during the dynamic phase.

Displacement results are justifiable.

Can you please help me with this problem?
