Chris, I see what you are getting at here. I was just thinking that the edges of the triangle would be at least so it would at least weed out some of the places you wouldn't need to check, but at least with something like a 5% grade you'll get a lot highlighted…

Try right clicking on each point of the component and select Delete from Components (Make Null). You'll have to do this to every point in the template. Once thats done, delete the component under the components folder in the Active Template tab.

Chris, The tool cannot result in a straight line. A workaround could be to manually draw a line by snapping to the end points of the result using the Make Single Element mode. Holly
